Pros….It makes smart keys in an all keys lost scenario.It programs blade style keys to function as master keys.It works on a wide variety of vehicles.Comes with a nice case and lifetime updates, vci200 and 2 smart key fobs.Very nice screen.Durable construction.If you’re looking to be a locksmith, this is a great start.Good value for the money.Good battery life.Cons…..Very hard to figure out unless you do your homework.You’ll need to watch YouTube videos and the autel training videos that are installed on the km100 itself.Always copy the car or trucks immo to the autel before just erasing it.If you mess up someone’s car or truck with this device, they will have to have it towed to the dealer to get the ecu reprogrammed.It’s not easy to use until you get familiar with the device. Can’t stress that enough.You’ll need internet/wifi to update the device before using.All in all…. I have used this a few times and watched 10 hours or more on how to use it. Also watched countless vehicle specific YouTube videos. I have programmed blade keys for an 07 Camry. Took literally 5 minutes. Chevy is pretty good and covered. I like the km100. I would buy it again. Also, they give you 2 random universal smart key fobs…. valued around 80 bucks and the vci200 is also included which saves you 150+ dollars.

Easy to use. It is worth the investment!
I bought this because the rfid chip in my key went bad and my car only came with one key. Dealer wanted $350 for a new key and then another $100 top program it. I didn’t want to be stuck with only 1 key again. So I bought this and 2 keys off Amazon. I was unsure if it would work with lost keys bring its a vw, but have it a try. It came quick in the mail and was easy to program my key after it was cut at the local key shop. I saved a lot of money and I am even making some money back. A Co-worker had his key quit working and bought a couple keys and I programmed them for him. I only charged him $20 to do it but there is potential to make money from it too. I am very pleased with it and how easy it is to program keys and key fobs!!!

After spending close to $600, to get new fobs for my daughters car through a locksmith , I though if I had had the programmer and blank fobs($25ea on Amazon), I could have saved a lot of money. Then I got a sign that this KM100 was on sale for 20% off. I bought it along with some Fobs for my truck and wife’s car.Once the programmer arrived, I charged it, then loaded all the updates through its update app after connecting to Wifi. This all went smoothly.Next I programmed a spare key for my 2016 RAM 1500. First time failed because I didn’t know the difference between a fobik and smart key. Turns out I have a fobik. Send attempt, this time choosing fobik from menu, everything worked as expected and I had a working spare in about 5 min, would have been faster if I knew what I was doing lol.There is a mild learning curve to using the programmer. Like when I was programming my spare key, I kept getting a message about erasing key first. I ignored the message and continued and everything worked. I think the message was trying to tell you , that you needed to use unlocked key fobs. But not sure. There are plenty of videos on YouTube of the unit being used that can help you along.In the end I am happy I got this programmer and even happier I caught it onsale.

Easy to use!
I’ve used this key programmer now for a couple months. It has worked great so far. It tells you step by step instructions on how to program different keys. I am super satisfied. Money well invested. You will get your money’s worth after just two keys since dealerships charge about $200 per key. Oh and the tech support behind the product are incredible. So friendly and super helpful. They even sent me a free code reader! Thank you Autel!

Works with all domestics, asian vehicles and very few years and models on european vehicles.
I was able to successfully program a key for a 2016 Mazda CX-9 and a 2023 Mazda CX-9, however when i tried to do it on a 2010 Audi S4, i was not able to even select such a vehicle from the menu! No Mercedes at all! No newer BMW, Audi, Volvo or VW. So not sure what 99% of vehicle means but Very limited on European for sure. Otherwise very easy to use if you are familiar with Autel products.

I purchased this scanner to add a key to my Toyota truck as well as a fob for another Toyota vehicle. Upon turning it on you are required to add your personal information (name, address, phone number, etc.). After registering the device I was allowed into it. I am tech savvy and immediately went to settings and privacy. I was blown away by the amount of dangerous software that is installed onto this device! I’m always hesitant to purchase Chinese made electronics that attach to WiFi. This device has enough on it to steal a multitude of your data! Be very cautious! I disabled the majority of software that is “allowed permission” to communicate to “outside” sources.If this affects its ability to “work” outside of internet communication then it’s not worth it. I tried to create a key for my truck with my master key to no avail as well as producing a key fob for my other vehicle; neither worked. This is where things get interesting…….After all the registering, I began getting 5-10 calls a day from unknown numbers. A few days later, I was informed by Experian Identity Works that my phone number was found on the Dark Web. I immediately went to my Autel account to close it. Upon attempting to close it, I was informed I couldn’t as I had a registered device in the account. There is NOWHERE on my own account that allows me to unregister my OWN devices. I had to contact Autel to tell them to unregister my device in order to delete my account.Several weeks later I have still not heard from Autel. I went to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint to which I noticed they have a 1.5 out of 5 star rating! I am waiting to hear back from “BBB” after my complaint.All this to say, we all know China steals from Americans but, personally, this is a dangerous device and company…..I would steer clear!
