Awesome machine, makes welding a breeze and so far is going strong. Easy to use and safe. For price point it’s an awesome buy.

Great Welder, know what you need for best results
I have used this for wire feed welding with gas shielding. I picked up a 40cf ARCo2 cylinder on Amazon for about $200. Got solid copper .35 wire from harbor freight and it’s worked fine. One thing I will say, I was unable to run it above 80amps on the 110v adapter plug. I paid to have an electrician install a 50amp breaker and outlet. That cost me $150 in Arizona. Once I did that I could run it all the way up to 200 amp setting without any problems. I am new to welding and this has been a great machine to practice with. I have been welding 12ga practice coupons at 125 amps no problem and getting good quality results. This is a great machine as long as you are willing to make the investment in the right power and tools. Very happy and I think this will be great for the small projects I want to do around the house.

160 a welder
Great welder. Very impressed. I’m not a welder and if you stay with it it will do a great job for a novice. One thing to remember use in a very well ventilated area be advised. Worked for my lawn deck.

Make sure to read instructions first
Good little welder. i thought i received a faulty unit, but it ended up being user error. Tried to use the gasless fluxcore feature and wouldnt arc. Turns out you have to connect some things different than normal mig, thats why its important to read instructions before hand lol. Once i had everything connected right it worked flawlessly. I only wish the lead, ground, and whip that are included were a bit longer and that you didnt have to run 220vac to be able to use the full 160a its rated for. With 110vac you can only use up to 120a which is ok for most of my applications but still. All in all good little machine for the price.

Exceeds my needs and expectations
Let me start by disclosing that I am not a professional welder by any means. I needed a welder to fix my lawnmower deck and other random things around the house. I saw this on Amazon for a really cheap price so I researched Arccaptain on YouTube to see some reviews and it seemed to be a great device. I watched 2 hours of how to weld videos on YouTube and ordered this welder. Everything about this unit seemed well designed and me with no experience except videos was able to setup up and use in about 5 minutes after unpacking the box. It was easy to adjust wire tension and power settings after seeing how to on videos. It is a solid welder that after practicing laying beads on a few pieces of metal I fixed many things around my home and fixed a few things for friends. I’ve used it to weld as thin as door sheetmetal skin back onto door frame on friends van to 1/4″ material on farm implements that are still holding tight and strong. The unit itself is light and highly portable and is handy that you can plug into 120v so it can be used anywhere without needing 220v plug. The mig torch and feed are smooth and easy for a beginner to use and the supplied wire is strong and doesn’t put off alot of spatter. I’ve already sent links to a few of my friends who have bought units themselves because they liked mine so much. Great product buy it!

Works great
Amazon.com I am totally surprised how well this welder works. Have been using a large expensive unit for years. I am going to sell it and stay with this small light weight unit. It is just so easy to use.

Worked great
Northern MN, 0 degrees with a feel like in the negative teens, steel implement broke for plow. Powdercoated, outside, didn’t clean anything off.3/32 7018 on a 15amp breaker, flipped breaker once as I was playing with settings and went up to 124, ran best at 94 and did not flip breaker for the rest of the 2 sticks.Jackpot, and why stick is great, just get it done type of work, welder did its job and not having to have 240v is paramount for some of us out in the boonies.

Fabulous Welder!!!
This welder is great & built better than the Harbor Freight welder for $449. Comparable to my last Lincoln welder but smaller. Packaging looked like it was repackaged when delivered. No issues found. The Harbor Freight welder kept tripping the breaker. This welder does not! I think it may be because of the inverter inside. The harbor freight welder tripped the circuit every 10mins. Some reviews say you need to be on a separate circuit solely dedicated to the welder on a 20amp+ breaker. Logic says yes due to the amperage but has yet to trip a 15amp breaker (for the possible buyers that only have a 15amp breaker to use, this will work) Very sturdy with a durable case and has a tip protector around the wire feed tip that harbor freight does not. It also allows you to stick weld/TIG weld. The trigger is built really well, close to an expensive name brand welder. I recently used this welder to build a trellis with 2in square tubing 8×5 ft. So far it is working great! I have only been using it for a little over a week. Technology has come along way! This unit is also lightweight, small and comes with a carrying strap so you can walk around with it hands free. I will follow up on this review if I encounter any future issues. Otherwise, this is a great buy for any project especially for the price10.7.23 still going strong after making a gabion wall, trellis, fence & gate. This welder is not only for beginners it is great for experienced welders that need the portable option functioning on a 110 20amp outlet with a regular extension cord hooked to a power strip. Some clients don’t have the power needed for other welders and this does the job. It would be nice to be able to turn off the auto speed adjust on wire feed, but it helps with the beginner. Lots of welding options for a great price!

I’m not a pro welder, but I’ve done a bit here and there. Got this ARCCAPTAIN welder to fix up some garden stuff—like welding trellises for climbing plants, repairing metal pots, and touching up small garden tools. For jobs like that, it works great. The controls are easy to figure out. You just pick the wire size and it sets the power and feed speed for you. No need to fiddle too much, which is perfect when you just want to get things done. It’s super light too. I carry it out to the backyard without any trouble. Makes it a lot easier when you’re moving around the yard or working at a friend’s place. One thing though—it doesn’t come with a welding mask, which is a must. I had to buy mine separate. Would be nice if they included one or offered it at a discount. For this price, it’s a great and practical choice. It’s not fancy, but it does the job and it’s perfect for small repairs and garden projects like mine.

This little welder actually works really well. The wire size is a bit small but then again that just means you may have to do multiple passes if you want a bigger weld. The amperage nob does work well, display is clear and tracks nob well and it does change the feed speed like it should. The welding ends are pretty cheap. The ground clamp is pretty small but is securely attached to it’s cable and professional made. The MIG gun is pretty cheap and short . There is a delay between pulling the trigger and it starting welding which you need to get use to. However considering the price, I very happy with it.

Very very very good welder stick welding is very good mig welding is also very good with consistent wire dispensing only complaint stick welding electrode holder can’t hold anything under 3/32 in the 90° position it will just fall out other than that the only other thing that was wrong with it the latch pin came bent
