    A Solid Product!
I ordered this specifically to get the transmission fluid temp to set the correct level in my 2012 Tacoma. It worked perfectly. Haven’t used any of the other functions but I’m sure they’re of equal quality. Solid product and a good buy.

Okay. I like this product more now.
Update: Feb 1 2024This unit did exactly what I needed, although I had to struggle through the ‘poorly documented’ TPMS features. I kept entering my new ID numbers (for the TPMS senders) , but my Tundra OBD computer would not take them. I finally figured out I was hitting the wrong OK button after each ID. Instead of using the OK button on the front of the TD700, you must scroll down the menu to the Enter (or OK or Done) choice and select THAT one. I don’t have it in front of me right now, so I don’t know the label on the proper choice, but it will be obvious to you when you scroll to the bottom of the ID entry menu. BTW: The TD700 cannot scan your TPMS sensors, but you should know their IDs if you just replaced them. Write the numbers down as you install them and note which tire location has which ID number.Original Review:I like the regular OBD2 features on the TD700. HOWEVER, I bought it specifically for the TPMS features. But GET THIS! I have searched for several days on the internet and can FIND NO information on how to use the TPMS features on this TD700. Then I tried to ask them a question on their website, ONLY to be blown off by their SUBMIT button! It popped up a very quick message saying: “Please Later”. I CANNOT RECOMMEND the TD700 if you want it for TPMS reprogramming or resetting, unless you are a mind-reader! Why no one has published a ‘how-to’ on using the TPMS features for this product, is a MIND-BLOWER!

Nice features but runs a little slow
I was willing to pay a little more for this obd2 because it can read transmission fluid temperature, a key feature for setting fluid level after a drain and fill of Toyota Lexus transmissions. I plugged it in and it booted right up to my 2018 Lexus RX350. Very easy to operate with instructions on the screen as you scroll through the menus. The transmission temp function is burried deep in the menu, and took a while to find. Reads temps in celsius. Also shows coolant temp in real time, as well as numerous fuel and airflow readings that are beyond my current needs and understanding. It ran a full system diagnosis on all ECU systems of my car in about 3 to 5 minutes. Slow but adequate for a home mechanic. Everything looking good at 90k miles. Nice. I checked my battery voltage and alternator output in about two minutes. This feature can help you spot a bad battery long before it leaves you stranded or trashes your alternator. Love it.The unit listed some stored fault codes I was not aware of on my car. Nothing major, but nice to know about. Quite impressed with all of the scan features, definitely more capable than a simple obd2 and far more affordable than a full scan tool.

    Good code reader
Choose this one because it advertised that it could read transmission temperature on a 4runner and sure enough it was in there!

    Not so great
It says it works with Toyota Camry 2014 and it is supposed to show you the transmission fluid temperature, but it doesn’t. It shows you other things, e.g. coolant temperature, RPMs, etc. but not the transmission fluid temperature… and this is the only reason I bought it. So, I will be returning it. Very disappointed.

  6. JRB

Works for what I needed, but it’s sooooo sloooooooooow
I bought this mainly to get a live transmission fluid temperature reading for refilling the transmission on my 2016 Camry when I do fluid changes. For that purpose it does the job, but moving between functions is ridiculously slow. Like painfully slow. Navigating the GUI is reasonably intuitive for a budget scanner like this, and I was able to get where I needed without too much hunting. The included storage case was a nice little added touch. I’ve only had this for a couple of months, and just used it once, so I can’t speak to longevity.

Ancel TD700 works on 2021 Tundra and 2019 Highlander
Own a few Toyota and was looking for an affordable OBD2 Scanner that would read Transmission Fluid Temp. Researching online was difficult. After buying 2 others that indicated they would read transmission temp and wouldn’t, I again went to the web.ANCEL TD700 indicated it would. Ordered and put it to use on arrival. It did read the temp and I was able to do a drain and fill on my 2021 Tundra and 2019 Highlander. On a side note, after the scanners arrival and before I used it, I went to Chat GPT and it indicated that it would not do what it was purchased for. ANCEL needs to do a better job explaining the scanners available functions. I will be keeping it. It will easily save me $500 for what I will use it for.

This scanner works great for my 2008 Tundra. It did exactly what I wanted it to do. Cleared the ABS faults . Showed me which sensor to replace.

Das Gerät funktioniert sehr gut. Es ist auch mit einem Yaris aus dem 2023 perfekt kompatibel. Nur zu empfehlen

  12. Bob

Like this scanner. It works very well on my two Toyota & Lexus vehicles.

  13. Farbod

That’s a great scanner for Toyota vehicles. I have a 2006 100 series Land Cruiser with a V8 engine, and the tool provides detailed analysis that even a Toyota dealer might not be able to offer. However, there are two drawbacks. First, the scanner only supports models made in Europe, the US, and Japan. So, for Australian cars, you may initially get a message saying the ECU is not supported. You’ll need to find which models and brands in Australia correspond to the US versions. In my case, the match was a 2004 Land Cruiser in the US, allowing the scanner to connect to the ECU and engine. The second issue is that the scanner is very slow, so you’ll need to be patient.
