This is a REVISED REVUE on 8/22/25 by the original reviewer:The original review had only one star, and was made on 8/19/25. This review now has 5 stars, as a result of the manufacturer support I reveived.This WAS a misrepresented item. I purchased this item on 8/16/25 as a result of noticing in their advertisement that FCA functions were included. I asked the “Ask Rufus” bot if any subscriptions were required for this machine. This is the copied and pasted question and response:Question: “Does this require FCA subscriptions:This is the answer: “No, the ANCEL OBD2 Scanner FX6000 Elite does not require FCA subscriptions. It allows secure access to FCA vehicle systems for authorized repairs and diagnostics. “I purchased this produce based on that response, after purchasing the required subscription to Amazon Prime in order to place the item in my shopping cart. I received the product on 8/18/25, hooked it up to my 2018 Dodge Charger and discovered the FCA functions were “inactivated”.I contacted Ancel to find out how to activate my FCA functions and was told t hat I must subscribe to Autoauth (purchase an Autoauth account for several hundred dollars).After disclosing to Ancel that I had purchased their product with the understanding from their advertisement that FCA functions would activate, I discovered the ad was altered. My initial impression was very unfavorable and my review was only 1 star and I had some very unsavory impressions of Ancel’s customer service. AFTER SEVERAL MESSAGES WITH ANCEL’s PRODUCT SUPPORT TEAM, I HAVE TO REVISE MY PERCEPTION OF THEM GREATLY. They took my complaint VERY SERIOUSLY.In short, they accepted that the original ad was not clearly descriptive and made the changes to clarify the actual need to purchase an ‘Autoauth Account’ in order to activate the “FCA” functions. This is the case with all scanners I have researched. No scanner manufacturer has any control over the proprietary access to ‘Fiat / Chrysler / Audi’ protocols. That is why I was excited to purchse this scanner believing these protocols were activated without having to purchase an Autoauth annual subscription for hundreds of dollars. This subscription may be purchased from ‘Autoauth’ on their official web page. It can be found with a simple browser search.Ancel corrected their marketing ads to explicitly state that Autoauth accounts must be purchased. They are investigating the incorrect ‘Ask Rufus’ reply to find out why it was incorrectly answering questions. They have fully refunded my purchase price. Most impressive to me was the action they are taking to determine why AMAZON MADE IT MANDATORY TO JOIN PRIME in order to place the item in my shopping cart. I now see that is not the case, and the item can be placed in a shopping cart or as ‘Buy Now’. Neither was possible when I made my purchase. I can not ask for more accountability than this and believe they did not realize the confusion existed, and are now taking major steps to correct the issue and find the reasons it occured and correct them.Needless to say, I am NOW MOST PLEASED WITH THE TREATMENT FROM ANCEL. This FX6000 instrument is well made, functioned well, was intuitive to operate on both DIY and professional user levels, and many basic scanning and diagnostic functions do operate as long as FCA access is not required for Bi-directional communication with system devices. It is Wi-Fi capable, and has onboard web capability which is handy. I DO RECOMMEND this diagnostic scanner to anyone wanting a well made instrument, with very commendable manufacturer customer support. Just be advised that some diagnostic functions will not work without an Autoauth subscription.I hope this review is helpful.

Great code reader
Let’s start at the unboxing. It comes with a carrying case. I cannot stress enough how much I love the travel/storage case. Other than that, it comes with the scanner, OBD2 connector, usb type c, and some quick directions.The first thing I did was update. This mid value code reader makes updating a breeze with the internal wifi. The wifi connected immediately and the speed was amazing. The touch screen AND hard bezel buttons make navigating a breeze.I used this on a 2019 Fusion and the Bidirectional Scan worked flawlessly. The ease of access and quick response time easily makes this purchase worth it.I have not used the live chat as I have not need them yet. The codes are immediately read. The short description of the code is easy enough to deal with. What more can you ask for?The only con I have found so far is when you are selecting an option, it can be extremely difficult to see which option you have selected. It barely highlights the option. Although this is bothersome, it’s not enough to deduct a star as the performance and connectivity is absolutely astounding.

Newer vehicles software may not be supported
The scan took has decent service options and diagnostic testing. My issue is I bought this scanner for the oil change reset and electric parking brake service mode. The function doesn’t work for my Ford 2024 Maverick. When I reached out for support through the service wifi connection, they told me the software updates for 2024 Fords won’t be updated until early next year, 2026. This product does me no good in the meantime. Also if you have a Stellias/Chrysler vehicle you may need to buy codes to work on their vehicles, but that’s because those companies set proprietary software. Overall, it has good features, but unfortunately it’s not updated to reflect 2024 and 2025 vehicles. Vehicles that are not newer and are a few years older, this scanner would be very useful in my opinion.

Great scanner with tons of options and features
This is a very impressive scanner. This is certainly way more than yesterday’s old scanners that would tell you a few things but not help or allow you to do anything about the problem.The scanner connects to your WiFi and updates are available for all of the auto makers, it looks like 96 in total. It has the ability to connect to your network and do all kinds of things like turn on your fuel pump, turn on your fan, brake pad reset, brake bleeding? There are a lot of options, too many to list.I almost feel like this connects to AI when you ask it to give information on a fault code. It spits out information like ChatGPT does, line by line. Quite cool. It has a customer section to log details about certain cars. It logs a car you’ve looked at so you can reference it later.The tablet is rugged with rubber all the way around. I feel this could handle a 5 foot drop with no problem as long as it didn’t land on its screen. I do wish the rubber was a bit deeper on the screen side. If your hands are dirty and you don’t want to touch the touch screen there is a up down left right return and ok buttons on the side. You charge it by USB C on the side under a rubber flap. There is a place for a memory card if you need more storage.While I was using it not hooked to a car the battery did slowly go down. Make sure it’s charged 100% if you’re going to a remote location. Also you may need to turn on your phone hotspot for WiFi connection if not near WiFi. When you connect it to a car the cars battery will power it.Yes this scanner is a bit more money but I feel it’s worth it. It’s probably running on an android system of some kind. The screen resolution could be a bit better but let’s face it we’re not trying to watch 4k movies on it. It has 32gb of storage and it has about half of that available which is good. I like the speed of it, not slow but decent. It comes with a nice case to store it in, and protect it.

Lo primero y probablemente lo mas importante de un producto, es su fiabilidad, y al respecto el “FX6000 Elite”, es de un fabricante especializado en sistemas de diagnóstico automotriz, asentado y en constante innovación.Un producto serio en el que podemos confiar, un escáner OBD2 con Android 8.1 y pantalla táctil a color de 6,2″, cuyas características mas destacadas son las actualizaciones gratuitas de por vida, y en segundo lugar el control bidireccional. No sólo podemos leer datos, abre un enorme abanico de posibilidades para realizar pruebas y reiniciar hasta 7 sistemas de la práctica totalidad de vehículos del mercado, compatible con mas de 100 marcas.Las actualizaciones (mas que comprobado), son constantes y no se limitan a los archivos de diagnóstico de cada marca, también a mejoras de la interfaz y eliminación de fallos, mediante un procedimiento automatizado vía wifi que nos permite seleccionar que actualización queremos descargar. El proceso es muy sencillo y rápido de ejecutar.La repuesta táctil es muy buena, no falla, pero no prescinde de grandes botones de goma y una cruceta para desplazarnos por sus menús, como queramos, permite trabajar cómodamente aunque tengamos las manos sucias, y sin miedo a roturas. Es un dispositivo robusto, con un marco integrado de plástico, con el conector OBD2 embutido, y el resto de conexiones bien protegidas tras una tapa de goma. En concreto un USB C de carga y ranura para tarjetas microSD.Se puede usar durante el proceso de carga, además de alimentarse directamente también a través del cable OBD2. Imposible que por falta de batería no podamos usarlo.Respecto a su funcionalidad, ha sido testeado en varios vehículos y la detección automática y autodiagnóstico ha sido rápida, con un chequeo sin fallos. Es un escáner OBD2 con un software realmente competitivo que nos da una información detallada y precisa de la práctica totalidad de sistemas del vehículo (MOTOR, ABS, SRS, y TRANSMISION), lo que hay que tener en cuenta antes de considerar su compra. La búsqueda automática funciona tan bien que no he necesitado usar la búsqueda manual. Con información detallada por módulos y con códigos de error.Respecto de los códigos de error, al ser bidireccional podemos resetear los sensores, e incluso buscar información sobre los mismos directamente en el escáner por wifi, aunque lógicamente, los fallos críticos, graves o de seguridad, los señala como no reseteables o si los resetea vuelven a aparecer con el uso del vehículo.Te permite interactuar con tu vehículo a unos niveles que no te esperas, con mucha información, permitiéndote conocer el estado de los principales sistemas mediante una auto diagnosis precisa, y a través de una pantalla con una interfaz amigable y fácil de usar en tu idioma.No es un escáner profesional con capacidad para detectar todos los sensores o codificar la ECU, pero si para sus funciones mas importantes y principales, adecuado para cualquier conductor, incluidos principiantes.

L’ANCEL FX6000 è uno strumento decisamente valido per chi si occupa di auto in autonomia o ha un’officina non professionale. A differenza dei classici lettori OBD2 economici, questo scanner permette di accedere a molti più moduli, come ABS, airbag, trasmissione e centralina motore, e consente anche funzioni bidirezionali su diverse auto.Provato su una Ford, una Volkswagen e una Toyota, ha riconosciuto senza problemi i sistemi principali, permettendo la lettura e la cancellazione dei codici errore. Ma la parte più interessante sono le funzioni speciali: reset olio e freni, apprendimento del pedale acceleratore, calibrazione angolo sterzo (SAS), gestione della batteria (BMS), sfiato ABS e altro ancora. Non tutte le funzioni sono disponibili su ogni veicolo, ma su modelli abbastanza diffusi è compatibile con parecchie operazioni.Il dispositivo è robusto, lo schermo è grande e ben leggibile, e la navigazione tra i menu è piuttosto semplice anche per chi non è un esperto. Certo, non siamo ai livelli delle diagnosi ufficiali delle case automobilistiche, ma per l’uso su auto personali o per chi fa manutenzione in autonomia, è uno strumento completo e affidabile.In conclusione, il FX6000 si comporta bene, offre tante funzioni utili e permette di risolvere diversi problemi senza dover sempre andare in officina. Per chi cerca uno strumento di diagnosi più evoluto del solito lettore base, è sicuramente una scelta da considerare.

Love it, I had to do a full brake system bleed on my old 2011 Hyundai genesis sedan and it was super easy utilizing the ABS bleed feature. It also gives a good idea on the history of the car if you go through the existing features.

The build quality is solid and the interface is surprisingly easy to navigate for such a feature-rich tool, and the full-color screen is bright and easy to read, even in low-light garages. I was able to run active tests on my car’s components like fuel pumps, cooling fans, and window motors. The coverage across vehicle brands is impressive. It comes with a sturdy carrying case that keeps everything organized. Free lifetime updates mean the tool won’t become obsolete anytime soon. It is expensive and on a pricier side.

L’ANCEL FX6000 è uno scanner OBD2 su cui non si possono muovere critiche dal punto di vista costruttivo e sulle qualità dell’hardware. Ottima la luminosità dello schermo touchscreen da 6.2 pollici e i tempi di risposta del sistema operativo.Molto complete anche le funzioni diagnostiche a disposizione che permettono di verificare e intervenire su trasmissione, centralina motore, ABS, airbag, reset olio e pastiglie freni, apprendimento del pedale acceleratore, calibrazione angolo di sterzata (SAS), gestione della batteria (BMS), spurgo automatico ABS, ecc.Altro valore aggiunto è la connessione Wi-Fi che consente di scaricare comodamente gli eventuali aggiornamenti software e consultare guide tecniche online e live chat di assistenza.L’utilizzo è alquanto intuitivo e consente l’impiego anche a chi ha poca dimestichezza con questo interventi di diagnostica sull’auto. Una volta collegato il cavo alla presa OBD2 dell’auto, lo scanner provvede in automatico a scansionare il VIN del veicolo (Vehicle Identification Number, ovvero un codice alfanumerico di 17 caratteri che identifica il numero di telaio dell’auto) e nel caso non ci riuscisse si può inserire manualmente il tipo d’auto (il dispositivo è compatibile con oltre 100 marche. Ricordo che questo strumento è adatto solo per autovetture a 12 V dotate di presa diagnostica OBD-II standard). L’interfaccia grafica del software è ben fatta con l’unica pecca di qualche traduzione in italiano poco chiara.
