Great little crimper.
If you need to crimp heavy wires for your project, you need this thing. It is heavy duty and well constructed. I rarely use wires this heavy for my projects, so I did not want to buy a super expensive hydraulic crimper. This one works great, perfect crimps so far. The price is very good., the small size is great for storage. It is easy to use.Overall I recommend this for heavy gauge wire crimps.

Honestly, it’s a crimping device and that’s all the review should be, but… This thing is A BEAST!! There truly is something much more satisfying about smashing this thing with a hammer than squeezing a handle. It works fantastic too. The connection is as solid as you can make it with pure blunt force. It even stamps a little (+) in the terminal. It’d be even cooler if there was another stamper thing that had a (-), but I digress. This thing is solid for sure and pretty small and fits right in the tool bag. Now, I only need to find more stuff that needs new power and ground connections so I have an excuse to keep hitting this nifty doo-dad with a hammer. Also, it cracks walnuts too. Pretty neat indeed.

Decent lil thing
It works well for its size. Don’t expect amazing crimps or even crimps that’ll hold well after you go above 2g, but it does the job if you’re in a pinch (pun intended). It only gets 4 stars cuz of how sloppy the lugs are on my 2/0 connections

Fantastic, Heavy Duty Crimper
Very pleased with this crimper. I removed an old trolling motor from my boat and added another battery to my system to complete/convert my new trolling motor setup to a 24V system. I used this crimper to crimp a total of 12 battery terminal connectors using 4 gauge wire. It did a perfect job on the crimps.I researched a number of crimpers here on Amazon and it seemed like the handheld handle style manual crimpers did the job, but a lot of people complained about having to crimp multiple times at different spots on the terminal connectors in order to ensure a good crimp. Some of them also left flat spots on each side of the terminal connector that made the terminal connector stick out on the sides. To me, the crimps just didn’t look as good as what this one does, which is why I chose to go with this hammer style lug crimper.Something that might help someone else….I had to make a number of crimps on my boat deck, which meant when I would hammer down on the crimper tool, it would bounce off the deck. That’s no fault of the crimper. It makes life easier when you can use a solid non bouncy surface such as concrete. I wound up grabbing a concrete block I had lying around to lay on my boat deck. That solved that issue.Anyway, I highly recommend this crimper if you’ve got some heavy duty wire that you need to add battery terminal connectors to in order to complete a project.

Really a cool tool – Simple and cost effective – Does any amazing job crimping.
I am pretty impressed with this. I am installing a electric winch on my flatbed trailer and wanted to do a good job with the wires but did not want to spend a lot of money on an expensive crimping tool that I would only use once or twice. This one is priced really low but the quality of the tool and the end result make it an awesome investment. The overall crimping power is really noteworthy. I am super happy with how my job turned out and HIGHLY recommend this tool. It also just took a couple of minutes to get everything set up to do the job.Bottom line: A really high quality tool, made right to do a great job, priced right and delivered to my door the next day.
