Product description

What devices can the Taingwei inverter power?
Taingwei inverter supports devices up to 350 watts individually and a total combined load of under 350 watts. It will shut down if this limit is exceeded. Check your device specs before buying.
How do I know the operating hours of my device?
Operating time = (Battery capacity * 0.85) / Device power. For example, an 18V 6AH battery (108WH) powering a 40W projector lasts approximately 2 hours. Actual usage may vary. Inserting 4 batteries extends usage up to 8 hours (4 x 2H).
Is this a pure sine wave inverter?
Yes, it’s a pure sine wave inverter, so you can use it with confidence.

Makita should rebrand this as OEM
I wished Makita made a 120V inverter one could use with LXT batteries in case of emergencies. Not anymore – this power inverter is that good. It already got a good use during a power outage. It features low battery and overload protection. It also tells you how much power is being consumed. There is even a flash light. The only downside, USB-C will not charge a laptop. It does fine running 5V Eero wi-fi routers and charging phones. It will not operate a coffee maker or dishwasher disposal. All those things are a given. You can get about an hour of fridge uptime on a set of 2 batteries.

got boost
not bad keep my fridge running for close to 1 hr during a blackout also tried the wifi router and worked well for a and 1hr or 2

Should be OEM!
It’s insane to me that everyone with 18v drill batteries doesn’t have at least one of these. I’ve got this guy for the large amp stuff and a half dozen of the single batter ones as well. I’ve used them to run string lights when the power goes out. I also use them every year to power my animated Halloween decorations so I don’t have power cords running across the lawn.

NO AC POWER OUTLET
the 120 AC outlet is fake and will not accept any plugs because its not real. Beware!

Pure sine wave or wave goodbye.
Pure sine wave required for electronics, I used it for my electric blanket during several power outages.

It works… mostly.
I worked for its intended purpose, which was to power a Starlink V2 (actuated) on the go without needing to keep the pickup truck motor running.Sadly the USB-C port is a low power port and doesn’t support 20V which would have been ideal for the new Starlink Mini and my 100W devices. Also it stopped detecting one of the 4 battery ports for a while (switching batteries around had no effect).

Works great, simple functionality.
Great way to have emergency power utilizing the batteries I already own. Works with both my off brand and genuine Makita batteries. You are able to use different amp hour batteries together. The constant power display lets you know exactly how much you are drawing.

decent converter
So far so good

The build quality of this thing feels OEM, like something you’d expect from Makita themselves. Excellent materials, feels solid, fan is temperature controlled, buttons have nice feedback and act the way you’d expect.I was able to maintain a 300W continuous load for 25 minutes before my batteries hit 16V and I suspect it’d hold 350W without issue. I was able to surge around 550W for a second or so, though it wasn’t quite enough to start my massive sump pump. Was able to start my freezer’s compressor.USB-C supports 2A / 9V, so it does charge phones relatively quickly. If you’re on the fence, just get it. Always worth having a spare inverter laying around. :)I hope the manufacturer brings out a bigger version with 140W PD input and output (ie. that could charge LXT batteries) and a 1200W+ inverter. 4 LXT batteries would be able to supply 1200W continuously, and if they could briefly surge 2000W it would be *awesome* for power tools and other high power, low consumption intermittent loads.

Works great. It’s a handy unit for anyone who uses the LXT range.

I wanted to have a back up power supply for my ResMed CPAP machine in case we have a power failure. My CPAP machine draws approx. 40 Watts. I put 4 Makita 5 amp batteries in the inverter and plugged in the CPAP machine and it powered up just fine. I was curious to see how long it would run with 4 fully charged 5amp batteries. I hooked up a fan to the inverter and it was drawing 44 watts. After running for 4 hours, there was 1 bar of charge showing on each of the batteries. I’m very impressed with how this inverter works and I’m glad I have a power supply in the event of a power failure.
