    The homeowner drill
I got this drill as an avid DIYer and an occasional handyperson. My usual gear is the red stuff, the neon green stuff when I don’t think I’ll use the tool very often. I’ve had jobs where I used only the best tools and as life goes on, I’ve come to appreciate value. This drill is squarely in the value range. It works pretty good and it doesn’t cost alot.Let’s get to quality first. It look very good, but I think ultimately it’s a crafter/DIYer model. It has somewhat light plastic that I don’t think will hold up to jobsite use but will fare well with a careful homeowner, no problem. It puts out decent power for basically any and all screws/standard drill bits. I wouldn’t go installing permanent Christmas lights and drill through 100 2xs in a day as that would probably burn out the motor. But I wouldn’t hesitate to use it to assemble furniture, hang drywall, or run Simpson screws all day.The kit is comprehensive and fully self contained thanks to the carry bag.For the price point, it’s a good set at a good value.

    Hard worker!!
Would like to have had an extra battery included with the drill. Otherwise an excellent choice.

    Decent
Its a nice drill. Has plenty of torque to drill through steel. Battery life is ok, doesn’t last as long as my Milwaukee but still decent. At this price its getting close to name brand drill category. Its also kind of big for only having a 3/8 chuck.

Nice, small size, powerful enough for my needs
I’ve always thought of myself as Tool Girl. I love tools and hardware stores, and can generally build little things, for example, all of my agility equipment, fixing things that break, like that.I already have a simple corded drill, which suffices for most of my in house needs. It replaced a huge, professional sized drill my spousal unit had gifted me with, which in all honesty, was just too much for me to handle, tho I did build my see saw with it, and of course, it was a wonderful drill, just more than I need. As I have aged and my hands and arms and back have deteriorated, I especially need tools that are easy for me to wield. Thus, the simple corded drill to replace Monster drill, and now, this beautiful, little cordless drill, for outside jobs my corded drill can’t reach without a lot of hassle involving outdoor extension cords, etc., or even inside jobs with the same issue. It charged up very quickly, and has a very visible indicator light right on the front, where I can easily see it. It is light enough for me to use with relative ease, and is not difficult at all to use…changing bits and such. It fits conveniently inside of a small carry bag, with room to spare, which can accommodate other tools as needed, drill bits and screws and whatever, that I can change out for specific little jobs (keep in mind, I don’t do big jobs). It is a quality bit of machinery, a nicely made tool. It will last me the rest of my life, hahaha…not that any of us know when our time on this Earth will end, still, I am definitely on the extreme “getting relatively close” end.It would be great to have a second battery. This drill comes with one.I really love this little drill. I think it is a reasonable value for such a well made tool.

Nice cordless drill for the price
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this little drill. At $79.99 I wasn’t expecting a lot, but it is a decent little drill at a good cost. The kit comes with the drill, a single battery, a battery charger, a belt clip, and a carrying bag. The drill is relatively small but is fairly heavy and feels solid. The battery clips on easily and there is an LED display that lights up briefly when the drill is first engaged to show the charge. The drill performed well in a variety a tasks. Although it is a small drill there was plenty of torque for driving in large and long wood screws. In fact the torque was enough that it would sometimes jerk the drill out of my hands if I didn’t hold onto it tightly. It definitely felt like a tool with sufficient power for most jobs. There were several features I really liked. The battery indicator was nice to have. Also, the light on the drill is located down near the battery instead of up near the chuck, which means it is less likely for the work area to be in a shadow. The drill and the charger were both easy to use, and the battery life seems decent.I had a couple of minor issues, neither of them a big deal. One is that I occasionally had trouble getting the chuck to tighten properly the first time. I suspect this is just a nuance of the drill that will take getting used to and it not a major problem. The second is that the drill can be surprising loud with a screech I would liken to fingernail on a blackboard. Fortunately this seems to be less of an issue when the drill under load. And admittedly I am less tolerant of noise than most people. Still, there were times I wanted to reach for ear plugs when using it.An additional point is to note that the chuck is 3/8″, not 1/2″ like many drills. This might not be a problem given that many large drill bits have 3/8″ shanks, but just a point to note. Finally, I looked to purchase a spare battery and I do not see one listed for sale on Amazon or anywhere else for that matter. I assume this is because it is a new product, but not having and extra battery can be a big limitation. With minor quibbles aside this is a surprisingly nice drill for $79.99. It isn’t going to replace my trusty Makita, but if I was looking for a cheaper alternative or just wanted something smaller to take with me for odd jobs I would definitely consider this drill.
