Sometimes you just really can not be sure of the quality of what you are ordering. This lucky coin did not disappoint. It is truly outstanding.It comes encased in hard plastic and in a small plastic bag for protection.It is heavy and sturdy.Much of the art you see is raised, meaning you can feel the texture when your run your finger over it.It is really magnificent.I ordered a bunch of these because I was so impressed with them. Each one is prettier than the last.Slight initial paint odor, but not enough to stop me from loving it.

well made, but the more colorful painted designs look better to me
These coins feel well made. Amazon sells several different designs (sold separately). They are about the same size as an old-style US silver dollar. The coins have some weight to them, unlike toy metal coins that are very thin and lightweight. These coins have intricate designs stamped on both sides, then a flat layer of colored paint added to one side (but not the other). I like the painted designs with bolder colors since the flat painting doesn’t have a lot of contrast compared the the shiny background and the simpler painted designs are overwhelmed by the background. The coins come in a hard plastic protective storage case. The case is easy to open if you want to remove the coin.
