Quality Thread Chasers — Even If the Case Feels Cheap
I helped my son replace the timing belt and water pump on his 2000 Camry, and I used these thread chasers to clean and rehabilitate both internal and external threads on the bolts, nuts, and studs we removed. That made reassembly much easier, and we were able to hand-tighten everything first to ensure nothing was cross-threaded before torquing it down.I was initially concerned about the overall quality because the set comes in a cheap plastic case, but the thread chasers themselves appear well made and high quality. They worked exactly as intended and did the job very well.

Invaluable Kit
Most of the cars we get in our shop are imports so we only ever needed the metric kit. I wish I picked this uo sooner instead of debating over the $10 difference between the MIC versions.It saves time, saves threads, and saves you from headaches.They’re extremely useful for cleaning rust belt sway bar link threads for easy removal. They’ll rethread buggered, crossthreaded, or nicked bolts and bolt holes.It’s a great set and made in Yoosa.

Great Kit
This is way safer than using a tap to clean out threads. Using a tap will cut threads and can loosen the engagement of the hardware. These simply remove crud from the threads and clean up any damaged ones. I have usind these on old air cooled Porsche motors as well as Subaru EJ’s. If you need to clean up threads on an aluminum part or block, this is the way!

Fantastic tool, lousy package
These are great for restoring threads, work extremely well and with the nut head make it so much easier to use in tight places using a wrench or a socket. Love them and they are permanent addition to my tool set. My biggest complaint is the package, whoever designed it did not realize you want and need to store them in your box and use them later. The design is huge, does not retain anything, or close tightly. I ended up putting them in in a zip lock back and may just throw away their base package as it takes up so much room. Lang, you can do much, much better with the package.

Oh snap! The exhaust manifold bolts popped more coming out than worn out spring pin bushings going around the Nürburgring! It’d sure be great to have something to chase threads on the head without accidentally cutting new ones where they’re not supposed to be!This set is awesome and I use it multiple times per week. There’s components that are simply too expensive to replace if the threads are starting to flatten or just coated in corrosion. The build quality is high enough that I’ve put them in vise grips and recovered NOx sensor bores that were so mangled I couldn’t get a rethreader in without tearing the bung apart.

Great product, worked as expected. My only recommendation for the seller would be to provide a more robust case, the plastic is brittle and cracks if you look at it the wrong way. Completely nothing to do however with the performance of the actual thread chasers. 5/5!

Much less aggressive then a regular tap and die set. Works really well for dodgy aged internal threads on the old motorcycles I’ve used it on. Finding plenty of chances to use them.

It’s great for cleaning gasket and grime out of threads. My two wishes are that they are 30mm longer, and came in a case that’s better for storage.
