Dependable, Value Priced, Variable Speed, Easy to Use
Easy to use right out of the box. I use this in a pretty tough, hot environment (in a food manufacturing over a gas stovetop) with the stainless steel mixer paddle (not included). It has good function with a variable speed dial to get the speed just right. One gave up after about 2 years of use, although we’d never done any maintenance to that one (brushes). I’d estimate it gave us 150+ hours of use at moderate to high speed. I’ve bought a few of these to have on hand and definitely recommend them.

Not designed for commercial work, but great for the DIYer
As the title says, this is great for a DIYer, not for commercial volume of cement mixing. I mixed a 50 lb bag of crack resistant concrete to repair a step, and it worked out great. You can’t expect to dump a whole bag in and mix that kind of volume with a $50 tool. I consider this a batch mixer. So for a 50 lb bag, I mixed half the bag to the consistency I wanted, and then added the remainder and mixed to finish. The tool mixed it thoroughly in a short amount of time, was fairly easy to do, cleans up and stores well until the next time you need it. Take the mixing head and shaft apart, separated from the tool, and the whole thing fits nicely in a 5 gallon bucket.

Great for DIY
My hubby and I are currently remodeling our bathroom. We bought this mixer to mix self-leveling concrete and thinset mortar. This is a great product because it’s easy to assemble. It’s portable. It’s easy to hold. It’s easy to use. It has 6 speed options. The price is great.However, it is a little short in height. In fact, my lower back aches if I mix for about 5 minutes. Overall, I highly recommend this product for DIYs around the home, especially for self- leveling concrete and thinset mortar. This product is also pairs greatly with a rubber bucket liner.

Not a good mixer
Total crap.I’ve been using this mixer to prepare batches of thinset and mortar.This thing smells like it’s giving you cancer every time you use it. The motor is clearly underpowered, and it is going to burn out soon. The speed control works for the first minute, but as the mixer motor heats up, something overloads and it jumps to full power, if you are not ready for this to happen, it can be a serious safety issue, twisting the mixer out of your hands, and coiling up the power cable.If you are only looking for paint mixing, this will be fine, but this is the definition of a cheap crap tool.

great IBC tote Mixer
Solid easy to use Mixer. i dont use it for concrete but it works great for attaching to an IBC tote to mix the contents inside. A Much Cheaper option then any other IBC tote Mixer and have yet to have one fail

4 star so far! Mixing self leveler mix…tried using my old Craftsman unit but it was too slow…bought a used cement mixer and it too was too slow and made a bigger mess of lumps…saw this unit on Amazon and reasoned that I couldn’t rent an adequate mixer for what this cost…received it in a few days and am astonished at how well it performed. Before I had to add powder slowly to the water and it still clumped up on me…with this unit, I could add the water (several quarts into a 5 gallon bucket), dump in all 50 pounds of mix and this machine tore it up! Fast, no bumps…highly recommend!
