Photoshop Elements 13 for Dummies – misslabled. Should be for All USERS!
PHOTOPSHOP OFFICIAL MANUAL IS NO LONGER PRINTED. Just a good help program imbedded. However, I like to read through a manual. Try some of the features new to me, or useful for my purposes. (Some times more helpful than counting sheep! This a great help to the occasional user. Well written, great illustrations. Enough technical information and detail to understand the how and why.ETR

I hate the titles in this series (who wants to confess to being a dummy?) – but it is packed with information, and is easy to use “on the fly” to answer quick questions.

Slow & Steady
I purchased this 403 page manual a few weeks ago after trying to negotiate Photoshop Elements 13 by the seat of my pants, and having been an experienced Photoshop Elements 7 user, I thought that the transition from one version to another would be a breeze. It wasn’t. The transition was a steep climb up a slippery hill, and I found myself frustrated and confused. Needless to say, reading a manual of 403 pages is an ongoing task, but so far the language has been quite clear, and it takes the reader step by step through the complexities. I am making slow but sure progress, and I am hopeful that in a couple of years I shall end up an experienced user . . . just in time to perhaps upgrade once again.

Going to Google was better than this book
Going to Google was better than this book. I mainly bought it to try and figure out how to merge to pictures and I could never find it on Google or YouTube. When I got this I read it and it didn’t really tell me much or the instructions were overcomplicated or not what I was really looking for. I tried Google again and annoyingly it showed the results for what I was looking for. I saved the YouTube video for future reference.

I haven’t gotten to the part that I was most interested in yet, but what I read so far has been very helpful. So much easier to follow than the manuel

Excellent for my limited use
As a professional photographer and fine artist I found thos book excellent for my limited use of Photoshop Elements. I only use it occasionally and have very limited for this software so I can’t learn it my heart. Thos book allows me to look up what I need when I need it.

This book is one of two I have on this subject, and together they have helped me a lot.

I was completely new to Photoshop Elements and desperately in need of a little guidance. This book ticked all the boxes for me. I read the introductory chapters in their entirety then skimmed the rest, bookmarking with Post-it notes the bits I wanted to refer to again. Now, I dip in and out as I work with Elements, checking out things that I need help with. It’s in the style of all the ‘for Dummies’ books that I’ve seen: clearly laid out and written in plain and straightforward language with a touch of humour and there’s a good index at the back. I now feel much more confident with Elements 13 (which I absolutely love) so I don’t refer to the book quite so much but it will remain within easy reach of my desk for the foreseeable future!
