Awesome Drill with a couple complaints:)
Awesome drill! My son is 5 and he absolutely loves it. He’s played with it every single day. It keeps a charge for a long time. We charged it the first day we got it and we’ve had it now almost 3 days and havnt had to charge it again…yet. The case it comes in is sturdy, has many different drill bits. My one big complaint so far is that the longest bit, for drill holes in wood, just broke today while he was drilling into wood. So that’s a bummer. I havnt reached out to customer service yet but will update my review if/when they respond.One other thing…the drill bits come detached from the drill once you drill fully down into the wood and try to reverse to come out. I hope that makes sense.

A cute little drill! Lots of different pieces for my kid to use… unfortunately we didn’t really get to use any of them! We used what battery it had when we received it. We attempted to charge it but it won’t charge or hold the charge.

Great drill set for kids or not
This is a legit tool set for kids. All the pieces and drill bits you need. My 5 yo son loves it. The only thing is the pieces are very hard to get out of the case. Even I struggle getting some out.The battery last quite a while in between charges. Has a light to help see where you’re drilling. (Tho you do need to switch the light on). Love that this drill is not too strong for my toddler, and don’t twist his hand like real drills. But still strong enough to drill through cardboard or screw into whatever.Functionally is great. Pieces are good quality.Very pleased with this kid power drill set.

Two things I really enjoy are toy collecting and power tools. We get both in one package with this set. First, it is surprisingly solidly built for a toy. The overall appearance, accessories, and function of the drill is probably more on the side of real than actual toy but it is safe enough for a kid.The unit itself feels good in the hand. For comparison, I have a Black & Decker cordless drill of similar size that is about 11 oz and this Shall drill is just under 9 oz. The two are also of very similar size. They seem have similar torque as well but to be fair to the Black & Decker drill, it was not fully charged and had been lying around my home for months without a fresh charge. However, the Shall Drill performed well in its own right.I tested this drill during some light duties around the home such as unscrewing the screws on a light switch panel, heating ducts, etc and it performed well.It comes with many bits including drill bits and sockets for wrenching. It also has a flexible extender to get to those hard to reach places. There is an LED light at the nose of the drill that you can power on to provide some light to the work spot where those screws may need to be screwed.The included protective case is made of high grade hard plastic. I compared it to the hard cases of several of my Dremel’s and the Shall protective case is just as hard and sturdy. It holds all the pieces including the bits well. They all fit very snug into the various holding areas inside the case.Overall, I am quite impressed with this drill. It is a great value for the price. I think most youngster and above will enjoy this set with the sweet spot being between 8 – 11 years old. Older kids may start trying to reach for the big boy power tools out in the garage. This would make a great gift idea for a kid but I wouldn’t be mad at the adult who borrows it from their 9-year old for some quick light duties around the home.
