GREAT VALUE and surprising quality for the price point
Solid, very sharp knife , good steel ,tight pliers, sharp saw, good abrasive file, flint works well. The only thing I didn’t like is the 90 degree position for the screw driver tips and the fact that the knife has no built in holder clip for the tips . May work in some scenarios but not very practical for most uses. No it’s not a Leatherman but those are over priced in comparison. I own both, and I did break my Leatherman pliers once also. These in my opinion have GREAT overall quality for the price point. If I dropped it in the lake or lost it I wouldn’t be very upset and would absolutely buy this brand again. I bought the ROCKTOL version on Amazon as well. They are literally identical except for the name stamp and both of the same quality. Is the similar designed LEATHERMAN better? Perhaps in a few small respects, but not enough to justify being $125to$150 more. Not even remotely. Honestly, if I lost my similar Leatherman I’d take that one on the chin and buy one of these instead. Its a tool. Broken or lost, no big deal at $25 ish

Great Value Multitool Packed with Features
Great Value Multitool Packed with FeaturesThis MOSSY OAK multitool has a cool look and offers excellent value. It packs 19 tools into one compact design, including handy extras like a fire starter, window breaker, and whistle. Solid construction, easy to carry with the sheath, and a great piece of gear to keep in my EDC or emergency kit.

This is the knock off you want.
This review is for the model with the CNC pliers and G10 scales. If you’re going to buy a Wave knock off, and actually carry it to work, and actually use it – this is the one you want. I have a few different options of knock offs, and most of the popular Leathermans. This is hard to beat for the money, maybe impossible even – and there’s no real “why did they do that” questions you ask yourself when you look this over and try it. No knives rocking around and partially opening on you. No gut hook sticking up (Rocktool) when the knife is closed. No knives so thin it makes you nervous to use it. I’d have to describe this one like this – its a high quality of manufacturing, while using the most simple design to execute it. Meaning – it’s a VERY well made and well executed – cheap tool, with as little engineering in it as possible. CNC pliers, all the tools open and lock perfectly. Great finish on everything. Everything is sufficiently beefy enough to use without pampering it. The knife blade is thick, the scissors are REALLY impressive. However – youre not “flicking” a knife blade open on this. There’s no safety locks to prevent the knife from opening when the pliers are deployed (all knock offs are like that and nobody ever mentions that. The knives on a real Leatherman Wave will not open when the pliers are opened. With any knock off you run the risk of closing an open knife blade onto your own hand when using the pliers – if the knife opens by accident) It’s a little thick, but not obscene. The belt clip is actually made as a deep carry just like a real Wave and DOES NOT interfere with tool deployment – like it does on most other knock offs that use cheap belt clips. There’s some play and twist in the handles if you try to make them twist while closed (no indexing tabs like a free series) but nothing terrible. The knife blade has a nice thick spine on it. AND – it just so happens that the thumb hole on the knife is ALMOST the identical size as the Leatherman Free series P2/P4. Why does this matter? – Because you can buy a 3d printed thumb bar – or the thumb studs from Kristen Van Patten off Etsy for the Leatherman Free P2/P4 and use it on this. They fit perfectly, just not snug. There’s an ever so slight difference in the size of the opening, which a drop of Krazy Glue fixes – and now you have a thumb stud to help deploy the knife one handed. I’d still say – buy a real Leatherman over any knock off BUT – if you are really on a budget or want an extra – get this model with the CNC plier head and the G10 scales. So far this is the only knock off I’d actually take to work with me.Pic shows the thumb stud installed. Just drag a drop of Krazy Glue around the stud before you insert it. Give it a few minutes to set and it’s not coming out.4 stars considering the price this is in. Would do 4.5 if that were an option. It’ll never equal or beat a real Leatherman Wave or Charge, but for $35 this has been done extremely well. High level of care and finishing on a cheap tool that actually provides you with the same outboard tool set as a newly released $200 Wave Alpha. There is NOTHING to complain about on this one, for this price.Came back to add this: There’s lots of options and opinions from (cough) “experts” on social media when it comes to multitools these days. Here’s the thing – if you carry any kind of pocket knife to use at work – and are looking to get a multi tool, if the multi tool you’re looking at cannot COMPLETELY replace your pocket knife in form and function, don’t get it. A good plier based multitool must do 3 things. It MUST have a pocket clip / belt clip so you can easily carry and grab it. I don’t like sheaths hanging off me. It MUST have a fast, easy, one hand accessible and deployable knife that you can grab and open in a second without looking at it. That knife blade must also inspire TRUST that it won’t break while using it. Lastly – It MUST have scissors on it, somewhere. If you can’t carry it in a pocket (and be unbothered by it presence) and use it EXACTLY as a regular folding pocket knife – dont even buy it. This is why the Leatherman Wave has been KING of the multi tool world for decades. I’ve evolved (like many people) from carrying a utility knife, to a pocket knife, to a WAVE, and then TRIED – many times – to find the next “best thing” to carry and ACTUALLY USE at work everyday. It’s impossible to replace what the Wave (or a good copy of one) does for you. Its the perfect balace of size, weight, form and function. But you are more than welcome to spend a decade or two figuring that out for yourself if you want to. And word of advice – buying a $200-$300 Spyderco Knife won’t replace a Wave either. I HIGHLY encourage you to bite the bullet and spend the money on real Leatherman Wave Plus, (and the $10 pocket clip) if you are buying one to ACTUALLY USE at work everyday. It’s a smart purchase that will make your day easier, and will be fixed or replaced by Leatherman until you retire – BUT – if you must compromise, this Mossy Oak Is a solid choice and IMO better than the current Rocktol or Dakoyu or whatever other cheap options I’ve bought to compare.Lastly – if you do decide on a real Leatherman – my top pick would be to stick with the Wave Plus. Not the Alpha (I have it) not the Arc (I have the P2 and P4 which is essentially the same thing). You wanna be able to use it without feeling like it’s an expensive tool that should be pampered. You want the all metal design. Having 2 different knife blades comes in handy too. It’s the best choice for someone working a labor or trade job. Buy it, use it, beat on it.

Good, not great
Not the worst multitool I’ve ever purchased, but not that great. For starters, there are a lot of tools here. Worth noting would be the file, scissors and the hammer/glass breaker. All of which add good value to this tool. Functionally, this will do for very light work. Decent weight, but the knife blade is very thin, sharp but thin. Pliers are good, will do in a pinch. Fire starter rod is small, but not unusable. Screwdriver and remaining oddball tools probably won’t last long if you use them regularly. Still, there is a lot her to like and would be great for an EDC light use tool.
