Pop Goes The Weasley Faux Tool Kit.
It was like a Jack In The Box when we opened the case. All that was missing was that tinny music box sound, and hysterical ending *Pop Goes The Weaseeeeeeeellllll, Dammit!!!!!* when we began to crack this thing open there. Yah, you understand the reference, hey hoser? Yah, all the tools jumped outta der box there. That was fairly shocking, but not totally unforseen because the case had a decent rattle to it when we first picked it up. Generally this scenario is indicative to a low quality cases housing crummy implements themselves lousy with the scent of futility and wasted time. Organizing the mess and fitting the so-called “tools” back into the ɓin gave us ample opportunity to verify that both instruments and case are of a very low quality. This review is for the AOWEI Brushless Motor Tool Kit Set: Yellow 21V Cordless Drill, Power Drill Tool Box,3/8″ Keyless Chuck, 2 Variable Speeds, with Battery and Charger IncludedReview Submitted July 2025We open this review with a neutral three star rating. This requires the patience of a Buddha as the exploding tool rig is not one of our favorite jokes. Yah, that’s true there.Out initial sentiment is rapidly draining to the negative for quite obvious reasons that would be irritating to repeat. So, we won’t repeat. Even though we *Must Repeat,* so Devo. While remaining neutral reviewers at this juncture, we think it only fair and responsible, a public service perhaps, to state that there is absolutely no reason anyone should purchase this item at this price point. If you have a Ninety Dollar bill burning a hole in your pocket, use it to light your medicinal weed stick as you sail blithely away from this item. You have been warned. YAH.This is a three star deal there.Three Stars.

Good starter tool set, but case could be improved
This tool set with drill is a decent choice for someone in an apartment or a new homeowner setting up their first tool collection. It’s got all the essentials you’d need for basic home repairs—screwdrivers, hammer, a small tape measure, and a pretty decent cordless drill. It’s not a contractor-grade kit, but for hanging shelves, assembling furniture, or tackling small DIY projects, it gets the job done. The drill is pretty good. It’s lightweight, the battery holds a charge well, and it has a decent amount of power. The clutch settings are responsive, making it easy to avoid stripping screws. The rubberized grips on the tools feel comfortable. Everything arrived in good condition, with no rust or damage. My main complaints are with the case and one tool choice. The tools don’t always stay securely in their spots in the case, so they tend fall out when you open the case. Some better-designed slots would fix this, but it’s annoying to have to reorganize when you open it. Also, the kit includes linesman pliers, which feel a bit specialized for a general-purpose kit. I’d much prefer a standard pair of pliers for more versatility in small home tasks. It’s a pretty decent value for a starter set with a drill with mostly all the good stuff you need. It’s a good foundation, but the loose tools and pliers choice keep it from a perfect score.

    Nice
Lots of tools all in one portable box. Great set. Drill works nicely. Battery life is good. Decent size.

    Extremely low quality, extremely overpriced
All the hand tools in this kit are unbelievably low quality. Worse than the base-tier at Harbor Freight. The crescent wrench jaws are super loose and rattle side to side by like 30° and somehow is already starting to rust straight out of the box. I twisted off the blades of the phillips screwdriver tightening a drywall screw by hand. The molding on the carrying case isn’t done well enough to hold the tools in place. The drill seems to work well for now, though I am extremely suspicious of it based on the quality of everything else. It has noticeably fewer speed steps on the trigger than my Ryobi brushless drill (which itself still isn’t high-end), and is hard to modulate. I don’t have a way to measure it, but I suspect that the controller will over-draw the batter and over-drive the motor under high loads before cutting power in order to hit higher apparent power levels than other drills, at the risk of overheating and melting things. If you are using it hard, it might be a good idea to let it thoroughly cool in between.About the voltage: this “21 volt” drill doesn’t actually have any more power than a drill marketed as 18v or 20v. The battery cells are 3.6 volts nominal and 4.2 volt maximum. 3.6*5 cells=18v nominal battery; 4.2*5=21v max. Both the 18v and 21v marketing applies to the same battery, it’s just that the 21v marketing is using the maximum pack voltage, which the toll will never actually be able to use…as soon as there’s a load, the voltage drop to the nominal 18v or lower.Lastly, the price. It’s currently $89.99 for the kit with the drill, one battery, and the essentially-useless hand tools. You could buy an actually good drill from a name brand for that price, and it’ll come with an extra battery too. There’s no reason to pay that much for this drill. If this kit were like $35 then sure it might be an okay first cheap toolkit for someone moving into their first apartment, but at its current price…do not buy.
