MOSSY OAK CNC-Machined Multitool Pliers, 27-in-1 Multi Tool
The dark green paint job on the multitool is better then it looks in the pictures but I would rather have it unpainited. It looks ok as is but over time the paint will scratch as it does with all multitools. The knife and saw blade did not lock in easily at first. I had to pull on the blade with a little pressure to get the lock to engage. However, the blade in the locked position is solid. It does not wiggle up/down or left/right. This is unique, even my leatherman multitools have a bit of wiggle to them in the locked position. I prefer this tighter design. I did notice that after a while the blade has started to lock in easier but still a solid lock. I really like that. The knife is a straight knife. Good for wood work but having an angle or curve in the blade would have provided better cutting ability on a flat surface, like a cutting block. The blade is about the same length and width as the Leatherman Wave knife. However the Mossy Oak is a little thicker, maybe a half mm thicker. The blade unlock press is a larger surface than the Wave. So it is easier to close over the Leatherman Wave. The saw has a little bit more aggressive blade over the Wave. That makes it cut faster but a little more work to cut. Good for softer wood like pine and perhaps not as good for harder wood. The Plier handles open smoothly and have a distinct lock when open. This feels good. The Wave does not have that distinct lock and it requires more effort to open. The Mossy Oak wins in the plier open test. Once open the pliers move smoothly with little play. The Wave have no play but it is very stiff. I prefer the Mossy Oak a little better. Quality of the pliers when in clamp down is hard to say. It appears strong and good but only time will tell. One thing I feel is that the pliers on any multitool are for light tasks. The Mossy Oak bites into your hand when clamping down on the pliers in one direction, due to the thin side that attaches the belt clip. However, if I turn the handle around then it feels much better to clamp down because that side has a rounded/flat edge vs the other handle with the thin metal edge. The Wave has rounded handles on both sides so it is a better grip in either direction. These multitool pliers in general are not designed well enough for heavy work like removing rusty bolts on a car exhaust. There is no comparison between an automotive high quality plier vs any multitool I owned or have seen. The multitool design itself is very weak in the way the plier head attaches to the handle. So it could break under high stress but I believe it would hold up for lighter duty tasks. The other pull out tools like the can opener, screen driver, awl, etc all look ok. They all come out at once when I try to pull one out. It is not as stiff as my Wave, which is a plus. However, the joint screws can always be loosened or tightened on any tool. I do adjust that on some of my multitools. The quality of the pull out tools is ok. I think the Wave is a little better but again for light use it should be ok. They do lock in solid and has a great release button, just like the Wave. The bottle opener is at the end of the handle, ready to go. Much faster to use then any pull out bottle opener like on the Wave. The Mossy wins that battle too. The integrated clip is ok, I don’t carry tools that way but a good option to have. And you can attach a cord to that end too. There is a driver hex slot in the handle too. Unfortunately it is not the standard 1/4″ hex bit. It is the smaller bit. But again, these tools are not for heavy use so the smaller hex bit is probably the way to go for lightness and more effective design. The bit hold is on two sided, so one side with the handle and the other side on the end of the handle. The end of the handle gives a typical screwdriver feel and is the better way to use it.The belt clip has a strong fit but ok. I have not tried to bend it too hard but it is replaceable and perhaps fixable if it gets bent because you can remove it to bend it back into the correct shape if needed. The Wave on the other hand does not have a belt clip. The carry pouch is ok but I prefer to carry with a belt clip. Velcro closure and a snap for the attachment belt strap. The Mossy Oak multitool weighs 8.3 oz. While the Leatherman Wave weigh’s 8.4 oz. Very close in weight and size. The advantage of the Mossy Oak is the belt clip. The Wave has no clip so need to carry it in the pocket which makes retrieval a bit harder. The whistle is good. I have a few other multitools with whistles, like the Leatherman Signal. It is about the same quality on all the tools. This whistle has a good tight latch to hold it. The whistle is loud enough but certainly not in the range of a professional dog whistle. All these multitool whistles are about the same.At the end of the whistle is a ferro rod. It’s small but usable. But too small to be an everyday fire starter. As a emergency start I say it is ok, it is coated too. That will help keep it ready for when you need it. I did not try to use it because then the coating comes off and it may not work as well when I really need it. It is always good to have a separate heavy duty ferro rod for everyday use. Those wear out too but last longer. But they are too heavy carry around in case you need it. This one does that job better.Overall this is a good tool, I compare it to the Wave. Wave looks nicer with its unpainted handle. But the pliers on the Mossy beat it out.

    Replacement multitool
This tool works better than my old leatherman ! Blade is sharper and tools easier to get at ! The bit driver is a plus I didn’t think I needed . I use it all the time now lol . Fit my universal case well . One handed open and knife use too ! Well worth my money !

    Great Tool For the Price
This is a very good product for the price. I use it on daily basis and it hold up pretty well. I do stay within reason to not use it for very hard tasks. The screw bits are nice for finer work on glasses, watch or small parts and shooting optics.

    Quality Multitool
Good quality knock-off of a nationally recognized product. I’m happy and would purchase again if needed as a gift.

    Good tool
This item is great. The Flathead screwdriver and pliers coming handy.I do wish that there was a Phillips screwdriver permanently attached to this unit. The separate Phillips tip included is too small and does not work very well on anything.

Great product. Really awesome and support was excellent when I had a question. For those looking for a Signal alternative, this is a solid tool.
