Well made cable
I purchased this to try to use for engine diagnostics. While you can build your own cable this is a much easier option. The cable is only one part of the system but knowing it is assembled correctly should help with getting your system going. Overall I am happy with my purchase and look forward to setting this up to help with diagnostics once my boat is out of storage.

Will not work
This fits on my Yamaha outboard F150. Both plug ends were correct. When connect to interface it would not indicate power. Was not able to communicate from outboard ECU to computer for diagnostics.

Works great with my YDS kit
I got this as a replacement for the adapter that came with my YDS diagnostics kit. This adapter actually is better made and I feel like the wires are connected into the plug connectors a lot better. I didn’t have to do anything since this cable was just literally jumping wires to get it to work with my system but you do have to already have all the setup for YDS for it to be usable to you.
