Exceeds OEM equipment performance
This thing surprised me. Going into this tool, I wasn’t expecting much, knowing how much GM locks their software down. I was thinking i might be able to check codes and that would be about it, but i was able to program too. After installing the drivers, GDS2 and SPS2 had no problem detecting it and it actually seemed to work faster than an official MDI2. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use as a GM tech. Also, having the ability to switch between usb and usb-c is great, as it allows me to stay connected to my computer no matter what is in what slot. The status lights even let me know if the vehicle, computer, or both are connected too.

Great option to start programming in your shop!
Excellent tool for the price point!!! I have used it for about 3 weeks and have programmed 4ford BCM’s with FJDS, 5GM ECM’s with tech line and a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Witech 2.No issues it just works. It works well with forscan and other aftermarket tools such as vin swap, gm ecu flashers and pcm hammer.

Super handy tool for small to mid size shops.
If you’re as lucky as I am, swapping out a 6l80e pretty regularly, this thing will save you $100 for each module programming you need to do. It’s super easy to use. Works quickly even with my terrible internet. Built well and seems to work on Ford, Chevy, or Dodge/Ram.

Very fragile usb connector
Bought 2 units and both have broken in the USB connector in the 1st time. It is very fragile that it breaks with you having the maximum care of it. It does not make sense at all.I have to take my laptop to maintenance after the connector broken inside the usb port.Topdon needs to improve the quality of the connectors. I am very disappointed. Paid for Jeep Witech 2.0 subscription for nothing. I lost aprox 300 usd.

Perfect.
Perfect cable for those doing more than just reading codes. My primary use is use Forscan for Ford vehicle programming. Works perfectly. High quality cable and adapter. Multiple usb types. Highly recommend!

Worked Great!
Got the RLink X3 and set it up right away. Set up was simple and it came with great instructions, even how to set up Ford, GM, and Chrysler programming software. I was itching to use it so I tried it with forscan as a j2534 device and it worked great! Looking forward to programing some cars with it!

Great product for the price!
Excellent JBox for GM, Ford, and Chrysler application – especially for the price!

Checkbif good for older GMs
May be okay for others, but didn’t work for J2534 pass-thru for my 03 Suburban using SPS2.

The USB-C broke off the first time we attempted to use this. Now it’s useless. Want to return ASAP

Couldn’t connect it to the rlink platform. Useless to me. Will be sending it back for a refund.

Loved it while it was working but the USB-C plug broke right off as per the picture. You’re working in a confined space, the cable is not that long and a little pull on the cable broke it off. They have to improve it. I think the USB-C to A adapter doesn’t help. It should be the other way around with a USB-A on the cable with a USB-C adapter as that would be easily replaceable if it broke. It connected to GDS2 and was working fine. Didn’t have a chance to try programming a module yet. What a shame.Update 2025/12/30: The seller contacted me and did right by me by refunding the total amount and sending me a new adapter. If anyone is looking at buying one of these, I strongly suggest that you use the USB-C to A adapter and TAPE them together permanently to prevent the USB-C plug from being pulled or twisted, at least until they make improvements on the plug. This review update was not solicited by them nor did I ask for the refund and/or replacement adapter.

User one time and the cable end broke at C charger. Very poor quality. Not impressed. Other than that it worked good.

Like other said usb c broke off second time I used it. Absolute garbage. Worked great when it worked but dor the price and second use usb breaks clean off like it wasn’t even installed. Save the headache and go with the rlink x7 or a different brand.
