Great scanner, no subscription fee
I have been using this obd2 scanner for almost a year, and I could not be happier about its function and quality. I use it to check my car, my family’s cars, and even my neighbor’s car, and it always works perfectly. It not only reads the error codes but also deletes them, and this is a great function because not all scanners can delete codes. My favorite feature is the whole system scan, it scans everything and helps you understand the complete health conditions of your vehicle, including engine, ABS, SRS, transmission, etc. If there is an error code, the App will tell you the code definition, layman’s definition, and effect on the vehicle, so even people who don’t have car knowledge can understand. My neighbor told me that the repair shop charged him $120 for just scanning his car, and this scanner is only $70, and I can use it to scan an unlimited number of cars, so it saves me a lot of money. Sometimes I do a whole system scan even when there is no issue, just to make sure everything is right.Another good thing about the product is that the companion App RS2 is free, no subscription fee. I saw some reviews here saying that they have to pay for the App, I don’t think that is true because I have never been charged.The scanner can also help you prepare for the SMOG test. If your car is older than 10 years, like mine, the DMV will ask you to do a SMOG test every 2 years. The scanner has 3 color lights on the App, and if you see a green, that means you can pass the SMOG, and if you see yellow or red, that means your car will not pass SMOG check and the App will tell you what repair is needed to pass the test, and this is very convenient.The scanner has a lot of functions and provides more information than I share, and you can explore it yourself, it is fun. I will recommend this product to every car owner.

Highly recommend for professional and DIY use
As a seasoned mechanic with over a decade of experience, I’ve used many different scan tools, including professional ones that cost thousands of dollars. However, the block tech 430, with a price tag less than $90, introduced into my shop by fellow technicians surprised me.The product uses a proprietary App called RepairSoluitons2, which is free and no subscription fee, and the firmware update is also free, great for the business. The App setup process is easy and intuitive. There is no limitation on how many vehicles you can scan, and all the vehicle scan reports are stored in the App (cloud, I guess), and you can share or print the reports, which is very convenient. Some other scan tools in the market charge a subscription fee of $50 or $100, and they don’t tell you upfront, which I consider dishonest.One feature I particularly appreciate is that the 430 works offline. Last Thursday, a customer called me when their vehicle wouldn’t start. I was able to use the app without needing Wi-Fi or LTE and quickly pinpoint a fault with the spark plug based on the engine code. It was truly impressive and solidified my belief that this is a perfect tool for my needs.When a 2015 Camry came in with a check engine light, the app swiftly pinpointed a faulty coolant sensor (code: P1290), allowing me to identify and fix an open harness issue between the sensor and ECM, resolving the problem efficiently.Another example, a P0420 code indicated an issue with the catalyst system efficiency in a 2022 Toyota Highlander, the tool facilitated a thorough diagnosis, enabling me to clean the catalyst system and restore the functionality.The tool also works on European vehicles such as tire and brake light issues, and I also used it for battery status check many times, which also works pretty well.The inclusion of information such as OEM maintenance schedules, predicted repairs based on mileage, OEM warranty details, TSB, and recall information adds immense value to both me and my customers.I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to take care of their vehicles, professional and DIYer.

This was one of the best purchases ive ever made. This scanner makes life easy when it comes to getting an accurate reading, and keeping an updated record of your vehicle. It makes it easy to have your VIN on hand when your in a parts store as well. 10 out 10.

The 430 Model is the better option
This is my second OBD2 module, but upgraded to the 430 (the other is the 410). I’m very pleased with the enhancements. There’s an immediate difference with Bluetooth connectivity and vehicle recognition. One the 410 model, I usually have to manually input each vehicles odometer reading. On the 430 it’s automatic. Vehicle scans are faster, and there’s an additional set of features, including resets of BCM, Oil, Airbag, and Security control modules. I own a Launchtechusa OBD tool, that’s full featured, but I can leave that one at the shop, and use this in confidence, for road side work. Definitely a great add-on for any tech or mechanic.
