Great alternative to expensive professional tools
Bought over a year ago. I am not a professional, but am a fairly heavy intermediate user. Framed, completely wired, plumbed and finished a 2400 sq ft basement (5 rooms and full bath) using only these tools (except for nail gun and hammer drill for tap cons into concrete). Over 6 months I put them a lot of near abuse at times. Being a basement, in addition to all of the walls and doors etc, I had to frame around vents and also totally reconfigured a ceiling to cover wires and pipes in a couple of rooms. Since then, have continued with many other home improvement projects. so the whole set has really been put to the test. The drill and impact driver in particular have gotten a ton of use and often pushed really hard. They’re still going strong and have that well worn look of many successful projects. FYI, I bought 2 extra 4 amp batteries and highly recommend them. Working on a big project, and using 4-5 tools interchangeably, it’s great to just grab-n-go. I know battery manufacturers say it doesn’t matter, but I religiously run each battery until it dies and then put it on the charger. I know the manufacturers say you can just pop them in the charger whenever you want. But I have found that they last longer when you drain them. This goes over many years of experience with these kind of batteries. After a year, all of the batteries are still running like new, holding charges for a long time. In the end, I’m sure Milwaukee or DeWalt tools are certainly better if you are a professional Carpenter beating them up 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. But for the heavy using amateur, or intermediate power user they are more than enough at less than half the price. I am not a carpenter for a living but I do a lot with them and could not be happier. I did read some reviews where people had missing items. Everything arrived intact for me.

What a great price for porter cable combo. You can’t beat this price. Good power and battery life. The weight and size is perfect. I bought a quick charger and I can’t complain about anything yet. Great product from a great company.

I bought this kit about 2.5 years ago after having good experiences with other Porter Cable cordless tools. Some I’ve had for over 10 years and they are still using the original batteries.About a week ago, the drill/driver from this kit became stuck in reverse. I filed a warranty claim through Porter Cable’s website and was expecting to get the usual corporate run-around. Less than a week later, I had a brand new drill kit show up on my doorstep–including two new batteries. No questions asked, no run around – just a brand new drill.Oh and other than the one issue covered under warranty, all the other tools have worked flawlessly. I am not a professional, but I have a large ranch so these tools see a lot more use than a few DIY projects here and there. The batteries last long, they have plenty of power, and I’ve found I can work all day by switching 3 batteries between the different tools.

Get the job done big or small without the cords
I bought this set serval years ago and use pretty much all of them weekly still and not one has gave me any issues.this variety of tools in one utility bag gets the job done. This is definitely the idea size power tool kit to be able to take with you everywhere you go.battery life could use some improvements but no other complaints

All batteries fit all the tools. The charges last long enough to swap and charge another battery. The charger is small and does not take up any room, unlike my old brand’s HUGE mount. The Light is powerful enough to use under the car or house while you work in darkness, great in a power failure. I purchased an extra 4 hr battery as well, and have not run out of charge while using it yet. This set was bought as replacement for a set that was stolen, but I did not want to pay DeWalt prices. I think I got equal value in this brand. I am VERY pleased with this set.
