    ok for the price
At this price, it isn’t bad. I kind of wish I had a more expensive unit that allowed remote adjustment of the end. Its nice that I can fish it down to a hard to reach spot.. but once there I have no control over the tip to see the direction I need to see. I have to hope I can twist it from several feet away and get the angle I’m hoping for. A recent trip down my intake manifold proved that sometimes I can’t get anything useful this way and was wasting my time. The picture is acceptable but not great. The hose is appropriately rigidly flexible. The mini LED lights get the job done.I worry how long the hose will retain its rigidity before it just becomes floppy. I’ve only used the last 2 feet a couple times now.

Everyone should have one of these!
I do a fair amount of work running wires through walls, and when you’re drilling into drywall you don’t always know what you’re about to hit. This camera has taken a lot of the guesswork—and risk—out of those projects. I can drill a very small pilot hole, slip this inside, and check for pipes, electrical lines, or ductwork before committing to a larger hole. That alone makes it worth having. It’s also proven useful in less obvious situations. My daughter dropped a small game piece down an HVAC vent, and instead of blindly fishing around and potentially pushing it farther in, I was able to use this to see exactly where it landed. From there, we could guide a wire hook precisely and retrieve it without any trial and error. The cable is much longer than I’ll ever need for most household tasks, which is a good thing. The built-in light is bright, and the camera produces a clear, well-lit image that makes it easy to see what you’re doing. For something this capable, the price is surprisingly reasonable. I looked into tools like this years ago and they were far more expensive. At today’s prices, this is one of those tools that’s incredibly handy to have around, even if you don’t realize how often you’ll use it at first.

Overall worked great for our home use
Needed this to figure out what was wrong with our garbage disposal yesterday, there ended up being plastic wrap stuck in the lower chamber of the machine and we used this to found it initially and verify if we cleaned it up sufficiently. It worked well, even in a wet environment it was able to give us clear imagines of whats going on most of the time. The issue we had was the light sensitivity of the camera, where the metal is reflecting the light from the camera causing the whole image to blank out in some angles. Other than this there were no issues with device itself, if it came with some way of mounting or magnetic back it would have been perfect. The cable length is sufficient for this job but the other one where I was trying to figure out where my mystery in wall cat6 cable was leading to, it falls a bit short, and the cables are very flexible, I actually wanted to be a bit sturdy tbh so I can push it through the other stuff in the wall.

Very Useful Tool to See What You Can’t See.
I never thought I would need a borescope until recently.I kept having fungi issues in a closed loop nutrient solution system and I couldn’t find the source. Chemical solutions weren’t solving the problem and I needed to inspect everything. Come to find out that I had some debris stuck in the tank of a water chiller that was preventing the solution to leave the tank entirely. I found a nasty plug of organic debris and mold.In that same water chiller the refrigerant disappeared. External checks revealed no cracks or leaks in the lines. Inside that same tank I found a small crack in the solder and the gas leaked out. Pressure test showed bubbles escaping from the crack. And lastly, had a real bad smell coming from my outdoor hydroponics garden cabinets. Looked around but couldn’t see anything. I was able to use the camera to look under a cabinet and found a decomposing mouse. I went ahead and left out those pictures on this review. So in that regard, I have to rate this borescope a 5. It has accomplished the claims on the Amazon listing and helped me solve my problems. This clearly isn’t an expensive industry standard piece of gear but for regular people this is great. The screen is plenty clear and resolution is fine. The buttons are crunchy and click appropriately. the detent on the power slider is solid. It has a few useful features that help with getting a clear picture and visibility. The LED ring has 3 power levels, as does the screen itself. The screen brightness feature helped during use outdoors in the sun. The screen can be switched from color to black and white or sepia tones. The camera cord is 16 feet long so you really have a decent range. It is fairly rigid which can be annoying at first but comes in handy when you need to get around 90 degree bends and such. And the absolute best feature is the 180 degree button. The camera doesn’t know which way is down and often you will often twist the cord so that the screen appears upside down. It can be disorienting. Luckily the button flips the video feed to right side up for easier viewing.

Im not sure you can get any better than this bore cam in this price range. The screen is super light but the camera cord is somewhat sturdy.I tried fishing it through my central vac tubes but after about 4 feet it would bend and not go any further so im not sure about the 16 ft long cord except for dunking down a really big hole. The image quality is clear but the focus is sometimes hard to get. You have to move it around a bit in order to get a good image but then again, at this price range like i said earlier, it’ll be hard to get any better. The battery seems to be pretty good because we have made it a family game to fish the camera in various items with the player havinbg its eyes closed then trying to figure out what he was looking at. After about an hour the battery hadnt even gone down one bar.Sure this isnt intended to be a toy but hey we wanted to test out its capabilities.Keep in mind that this is not an approved home made colonoscopy device and I would never suggest it either . There should probly be a warning label somewhere before someone actually tries it.Overall im happy to add this devide to my toolbox. Its one of those thinghs that you only need every so often but are quite happy to have when needed.

I got this endoscope/borescope camera for checking around my car for rust or loose cabling and for checking the inside of desktop computers for dropped screwed (using the included magnet attachments to lift them up). I found it also useful to check inside drains or pipes that having clogging to find the exact location of the debris/object to remove). The camera quality is mediocre, but for the price ($49) as of review it is very good value. I am still able to see all the objects I need to see even though they are fuzzy. The color and black and white modes work properly and the display is bright enough to use outside and big enough to display fairly well. Another downside I found is that not having a wide angle lens limits the area you can capture at once, but the cable is very flexible and can be bent into different positions to make capturing objects easier. The cable is also long enough for me to push it far down a pipe or from the very top to very of a car with ease. The leds around the camera lense keep the image bright as well even in dark spaces.Overall this device does work as expected, but I would not use it for professional use as I believe a much more expensive device is the way to go in that case. For a device that is kept and used only when needed I think it is good value at the current price. The included magnet, small mirror, and hook attachments help this value proposition out since the camera can also be attached to objects using it to keep it stable (with a bit of difficulty it can be clipped onto the top cylindar part of the camera), and the mirror can help to see more angles. The hook can fish small debris out.

I use this to find some cable that have gotten lost between the TV mounting bracket and the PowerPoint. The horoscope that you view what’s going on in the wall easily and the attached clips that you grabbed the cable and bring the whole thing back up easily. Some of the reviews mentioned the fact that you can’t take a photo from the unit which is true but the screen image is nice and bright and you could always take a snap of it with your camera on your phone. Is an entry-level device for home users for that odd job where you need to see what’s going on inside a tight space. This is ideal.

There’s good value in this product… and it is – in my opinion – superior to even pricier endoscope cameras that plug into your phone. Those apps are always a pain, asking for permissions they don’t need, and generally a challenge to use reliably. This kit includes the screen, so you have everything you need – ready to go at the touch of a button. The screen is bright, a good size for the task, and holds its charge well with excellent battery life. The camera… decent resolution and good contrast with the light in the probe end. Where it struggles though is with its focal length. The product description indicates 1.2-3.5 inches… in my experience its 3.0 inches and up… anything closer than 2 inches is out of focus. So its good for probing into larger spaces, but not when you need to examine something close up – in close quarters.Using it to scope what’s inside a wall works great. Trying to find an contaminant in an engine block… not so useful.Overall, for the price and performance, I still see good value.

My OTR microwave wasn’t blowing air properly and was driving me crazy since it clearly wasn’t doing its job so I used this to snake inside around the microwave’s venting… well turned out it was bits of foam packaging that fell into the vent spaces at some point and started really clogging the air way. Not sure if this happened while I was setting it up or if this happened in the factory, but thankfully since I new where it was I was able to take the microwave down and get some tools to carefully pick the packaging out. The microwave is now blowing air properly!I’ve also used this to check some vents in my house and find it’s pretty great. Very easy to use since it’s just a turn on and go basically and has a decent enough length to it. The quality of the video is good enough that you should be able to make out out things pretty easily. Only thing is it can be awkward snaking the camera around and keeping a good angle and rotation, but that comes with practice.I recommend.
