Very effective
1980 Chevy K20 Custom Deluxe started having issues after putting EFI in. Sigh it’s summer she should be on the road!! Very easy to set this up. Filled with mineral spirits with the handy little funnel. Found out the only flaw it doesn’t reach battery to tailpipe on a 16-17ft truck. My husband ended up pulling his truck over and hooked it up to his battery. Turned it on and after a few min whisps of smoke began to come out a known leak in my exhaust. It did not use a lot of spirits we probably had it on for about 20-25 min. I was expecting smoke to come out from my headers. Nope 2 tiny tiny little holes up around the collector. Would have never found them without this machine. So headers are fine, known exhaust leak is an easy fix it’s too far back to affect the EFI going to fix it anyway. The 2 problem holes of course I now have to take the exhaust back down weld get new gasket for collector augh! But at least this handy machine showed me the problem quickly and other than not being able to reach the length of the truck easily.

Excellent Tool
I love thus smoke machine. It has no need for a pnuematic connection, only battery power. It produces smoke, or air at a significant and sufficient rate to do the job. I have used it many times to identify an EVAP leak and it has worked great. It comes with all the necessary attachments, and I bought a bottle of mineral oil to be sure I do not run out. The mineral oil is what you fill it with to produce smoke. So it has worked to help me identify the leak every time. Very satisfied with thus purchase 😊

Payed for itself on the first use
This smoke machine works great for my WRX. I had a lean condition that popped up and I traced every vacuum line and couldnt find anything out of the ordinary. I plugged this machine into the intake tract and found my leak was at my fuel injector hole, meaning my fuel injector o-ring was bad. I would have never caught that without this machine so it payed for itself on its first use. Good price, cheaper than one visit to the mechanic but able to be used plenty of times. I just used regular johnsons baby oil with the pink label and the smoke was nice and dense. A good flowing pressure that’s adjustable with lots of accessory tips to choose from. I chose this over the digital design because its one less thing that can break.

Great little smoke machine.
When I purchased this I thought it would be much larger, but it worked very well. It performed just as well as the 1k dollar smoke testers. The only drawback is you can only use it for limited periods. It will shut off for cool down. If your using it occasionally it’s great but if you need one for a high volume shop you’ll be disappointed.

Worked once, then wouldn’t produce smoke.
Extremely disappointed. The unit worked great the first time I used it. It was used for maybe 10 minutes time over the span of an hour or so troubleshooting a leak.Upon making repairs a day or two later and trying to use the unit again the smoke light just flashed red which indicates it has overheated.Considering it hadn’t been used in roughly 48 hours that seems unlikely. I definitely expected better quality for something with this price point as it certainly isn’t a cheap unit.

Used this for quite a few projects and jobs so far do a pesky intake manifold with a pinched gasket that wasn’t visible. This tool made it visible to me as soon as soon as it started. Also aided in diagnosing an exhaust leak and a charge pipe leak in a turbo truck.
