Saves lots of time = more money in thy pocket
Kicks ass. Definitely worth the extra cash to shoot both size nails. Had to install hangers and it made a long tedious job quick and fun. Paid for itself in an hour on the job. Easily fits between 16 on centers. It’s worth every penny. It is loud(super loud in an enclosed space between joists or rafters) wear ear pro, I don’t like the fact it won’t fire when you have 5 or less nails in the mag. Minimal issues though. Either way I’ll hopefully never hand nail another hanger.

    Great gun, gets it done!
This is a great, lightweight gun. It is extremely easy to use and makes installing clips, hangers and straps a cinch. I wish I had purchased it a long time ago. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but it will absolutely pay for itself. I installed 50 A35’s in about 30 mins.

Payed for itself with hours of time savings.
Works with both sizes of fastener nails.

Great gun but beware they are now made in Taiwan
I’ve had this gun before and they are great. I bought this one as a backup because the first one broke the trigger off (my employees fault) and I need to keep working framing a house. If you know how long it takes to install all the Simpson hardware on a house using a hammer or a palm nailer, this gun cuts that time to less than half (probably to 1/3 the time). I like the longer magazine because you need it for the zillions of hardware nails needed when you frame a new house and code requires tons of A-35’s, LTP’s, various hangers, etc.Two reasons I didn’t give 5 stars. One, my first gun (made in Japan) the trigger broke and it’s taking weeks to get the replacement part from hitachi service center. Their customer service lady on the phone was unfriendly and had a poor attitude too. They don’t deal with the public she said, rather they send you to a factory authorized service center in your area who will likely be unhappy that you bought it on Amazon instead of from them. Two, the new ones like this one are made in Taiwan. So beware. The older ones were built in Japan and are known to be a quality unit. I haven’t used the Taiwanese one much yet, but it seems to work fine. It’s now called the NR65AK2 (they added the 2 at the end to designate it as made in Taiwan which scares me a bit). If you can find the NR65AK made in Japan for a good price, I would go with that.

    Best nail gun
Easy to use best nail gun I’ve had. I do hardware so with this gun it makes my job so easier. Also the price is amazing worth every penny!

  6. Michael Frank

    Great positive set nailer
This is a great gun, it’s light, powerful and shoots both 2 1/2” and 1 1/2” nails. Just make sure to pick up a rafter hook if you want one.

Had to return it unfortunately I could never get the nails to line up with the metal connectors
I had to return it I couldn’t get it to center on the metal connectors It’s supposed to be a positive placement gun. I positivity tried for hours to shoot nails into the metal connectorss correctly. I couldn’t for the life of meI have a 1 1/2 version of this unit works perfectlyThe top on this gun is different thoughMaybe Metabo has changed the tip. I don’t knowI was literally spending hours, pulling nails out, damaging and destroying metal connectors because this gun would not shoot the nails correctly Like I said, I have the smaller one and a half inch version and it works perfectly, but the head on the smaller gun is slightly different than this one. The head on the small one allows you to put the tip of the nail directly into the metal connector before shooting.
