Nice Tool
Nice tool for the money, allows you to change between summer and winter tire / wheel packages and program your appropriate sensors. I have also use this to tell if a set of wheels and tires I was going to buy had sensors in them. Easy to use and great company support. Comes with a nice case and all the appropriate connectors.

I had to replace all 4 of the sensors in a used vehicle I bought and the Smart Sensor machine was easy to use and I was able to program the sensors without any problems. It only works with the “Smart Sensor” brand.

More Convenient than Relying on a Business to Tie Your Tire Modules to the Computer.
Once you master the relatively easy process of using this, it’s may be more convenient than locating and getting to a place that will tie your tire modules to the car computer.Then there is that it’s indicated reading the tire modules and tying them to the car computer can run $70.00 for each swap between winter and summer ties. As such, this unit would, nearly, pay for itself in one year.I got this, a couple months before I needed it, but I checked it out on all four tires, to see if it would read them. It did, and I was, pleasantly, surprised to see it even reported the exact air pressure of each tire.Now, with winter looming here in Central Washington, and because I’ll be driving the mountain passes, I swapped to my winter tires. I set the reader to OBII mode, read the tires in the indicated order, plugged the module into the reader, then plugged the module into the car’s OBII port [with the key on], followed the reader’s on screen prompts.The car computer picked up the new identifier codes, after which I drove the car a couple miles. Unlike in the past, no code showed on the dash. We’ll see if that remains the case with a drive to civilization, and hour a way today.[It held and all was good]Including me, the ONLY glitches using the reader and module were:1) When I pressed the wrong button, reading the tires, I had to start over. Though I made it to the final tire, when I tried to move to the next process, it jumped back to the left front. Even after following the prompt for erasing previous readings. A simple re-boot (Off-On) solved that problem and there were no more glitches.IF you have to order new modules for your tires, to save a bundle, you may be out of luck, or not. Some indicate this ONLY programs the readers modules. However, when I got to a shop, to have them program it, they said the module was already programed, though the reader said it couldn’t.The shop had the same reader and the light is yet off.One solution may be to buy only modules from the readers company OR ones that come programed for your car.SIDE NOTES:Usually, a tire swap involves a bit of panic, until I remember I swapped the tires a couple days earlier and the computer can’t read the modules of the tires sitting in the garage, a few miles back. This appears to solve that problem, as well as the problem of waiting at a business to get them read. Add to that, I am, now, one less person Les Schwab Tire Centers have to deal with [for free].To bad Subaru limited the car’s ability to do other than report that you are already unable to drive on the tire when the light comes on, rather than use the screen to more accurately report the problem (pressure of each tire), giving you a chance to save a tire and a very problematic replacement.

Good tool
Did exactly what it was suppose too. The only thing is it is a little pricey and you have to use their sensors but if you can do it will save you money in the long run compared to letting a tire shop do it. This way you can scan and find the bad sensor and you know exactly how many you have bad without hoping the tire shop is honest and telling you need more than one because you will be able to know before you go.

Used it to find which tpms sensor was out on my mother-in-law’s car, easily scanned and found it. Figured I’d drop the coin on this since all newer cars have tpms and could run into this issue down the road. I also plan on using it to reprogram tpms when I switch to larger sized rims in the future.

Best TPMS tool out there for the price!
At first I was having a hard time trying to program the OEM sensors on my 2008 Honda CR-V but I believe it was my OBD II scanner would not write the ID’s. Used it stand alone with it’s OBD II module worked perfect! Highly recommend this TPMS tool over those AUTEL ones! Great price with free lifetime updates (till probably it becomes obsolete)!
