Seemed to be good quality
I would give it 5 stars but there was something about it that didn’t scream highest quality and it lacked operating instructions. It worked well though and did the job I needed. I don’t need a planer often so this had a good price and got the job done. I wish it had a case to keep it in. There were no instructions but I figured out how to set the depth of cut. I ave no idea what the black plastic pieces are for or how to use them.

Worth the money
It’s got decent power, it definitely does go through battery’s fast. But only when the tool is taking a good amount of material off.I use it heavily all day and have been for the last few weeks, durability is very good no over heat or any bad smells.Will definitely be buying another one when this one gives out.It’s also very quiet, definitely quieter than the DEWALT not as powerful as the DEWALT. Definitely worth its $70 it pad for itself a few times over already. The tool is also much lighter ad compact in comparison to the DEWALT one.The only downside is that either mine was damaged in use or it cuts slight unevenThe adjustment does work well, on heavy cuts it does go back up to take less material off.

Oddly, for what I wanted, it works perfectly and would be a 5 star. However, all I really wanted was a planer that was quick to grab and easy to use on the fly for very rare small projects of fixing swollen or tight joints or to minimize some sanding. For just that. I’d give it 5 stars.However, if you want a decent planer for more general use, then I have a lot of problems with this one. 1st of all, it comes with a lot of extra parts. They are listed in the “Package Includes” section, but they are not identified nor is an explanation given on how to use most of them. I’m pretty sure I have identified what is what through logical conjecture, but I’m still not sure how to use most of them.I figured out the ruler due to its unique shaped bar and the knob identified as the “ruler fixing knob.” However, the plastic it slides into was not sized correctly or (more likely) wasnt trimmed when molded. I had to force the ruler into the slot on both sides of the planer with a great deal of force and wiggle it quite a bit to get it to work correctly.Finally…On page 2, it recommends a battery with a 4.0AH or more capacity. On page 5, it recommends a battery with a 3.0AH or more capacity. And the actual page showing on Amazon shows the Milwaukee 48-11-1820 battery as an option which is only 2.0AH. Fortunately, mine is 5.0. However, anyone looking at the lower end batteries may be totally confused on what will or wont work well.
