The perfect small miter saw!
Absolutely the perfect tool for my Closet retrofit project. This saw easily cut wood shelves as well as metal hanging rod tubing. Both with the blade that comes with it. A very light touch during cutting is all that is required and there were a lot less sparks than you normally get with a cutting wheel while cutting the metal tubing. Packaged well, just plugged in and it was ready to cut. Highly recommended!

Great mitor saw for everyday use but after many uses to cut metal the metal shavings start to stick and melt into platic. Other than that its safe and reliable easy to use for a good price.

Purchased this to cut 2020 extrusions. Unit performs the task admirably… at 90 degrees, and after some set up. The on board angle markings are a joke, completely useless. Thankfully, I only needed the 2020 cut square so it was easy to set with a machinist square. If you need a special angle, have a way to measure it not using the saw markings.Even with a Vac on the port the chips went everywhere, all directions. I’d recommend only using this where a mess can be made.All that said, the cuts are clean, smooth, no burs, no chatter, and FAST.

Cuts well, blade dulls up fast, replacements are crazy expensive
The saw cuts extremely well when the blade is new, but the blade dulls up in no time at all. When you go to replace it you find out why the saw is this cheap… the replacement blades are 1/3 of the cost of the saw or more. Somehow the 8 1/4 in blades cost the same as the 14″ blades… make it make sense.And Evolution is the only one that makes them because it uses a very uncommon 1″ arbor as opposed to the normal 5/8… They are likely losing money on the saw and, and hoping to make up all of the money on the blades, a really crappy and shady tactic. I was going to buy the larger version at some point, but I will wait until Milwaukee or others have an option for one. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Not the greatest, especially for metal work.
I wouldn’t recommend this saw, especially for metal work. 2 stars because the blade it comes will cut through steel tube as long as you don’t rush. But it’s still a flimsy blade. The plastic is not the greatest since metal will melt into it very easily.The biggest con: the blade is bolted so tight that I couldn’t get the arbor screw loose without breaking the arbor lock button on the motor which keeps the blade from rotating while loosening/tightening the screw (I wanted to swap the blade for a steel specific blade). This is even worse if the blade has to be replaced later due to wear and tear.I would look for something a little better.

Great saw for the price
Very nice saw for the price and does cut metal pretty well have tried it on steel and aluminum. Also work very well on extrusion aluminum which is usually not very easy to cut

Light weight, great price
Vert light weight, cuts metal easily. I was nervous at first ,but this thing cut a 2×2 3/16 thick square tube like a hot knife through butter. My old very heavy old school chop saw is garbage compared to this. Love it. I’ll eventually upgrade to the full size one. For now this is perfect.

Amazing saw for tube and smaller flat bar. I just put it through an 2″ .25 wall square tube and it ripped through it no problem. It also weights almost nothing.. perfect for field work.

Muy buena sierra, me sorprendió lo fácil y exacto que corta, corte PTR tipo marco de calibre 18 y lo corto muy bien (sin chispas), hice corte en 45 grados y muy bien, la verdad me sorprendió lo fácil que lo hizo, seguro hay mas sierras de este tipo, pero esta sierra SI la recomiendo (no son herrero ni carpintero, hago trabajos de vez en cuando y me funciono muy bien). No le he probado con madera, pero si el metal lo corto muy fácil, seguro la madera no representará mayor problema, por ultimo, su disco se ve de buena calidad, me llego en su paquete original muy bien empacada, la verdad la recomiendo, sin duda la nueva generación de sierras multinacionales.

Me gustó mucho la sierra en vdd, no esperaba menos , en lo que si me fue mal en el envío algun transportista golpeó la caja y llego rotación una parte de la maquina , y pues la vdd tardo 14 dias en llagar y ya no pienso regresar la, pues no afecta su función solo es una manija de plástico rota
