Great Product, Great Service
I ordered this Fiat OBD adapter and a KKL interface on Monday, and received it on Tuesday. They both are what appear to be a quality product, and I would recommend them to someone looking for these items. I’m using them with Ducatidiag to communicate with my Ducati IAW5AM ECU. I have dumped the ECU and flashed it with new maps with no issues. I’m sure these will work for many other applications. I would download the FTDI drivers directly from their site, and not bother with the included disk, (VAG COM software is also on the disk). I’m pleased with the products, the packaging, and I can’t say anything but good things about Amazon. They packaged up the two items nicely together in a small lite package and had them in my hands 24hrs later for what I would consider the lowest next day rate I have ever paid, $17.OBD2 OBD II Diagnostic USB Cable For KKL409.1 VAG-COM 409OBD OBD2 16 Pin Connector Diagnostic Adapter for FIAT 3 Pin

Ahora en Ingles (traducido con la PC)The connector is as described in the product specs, very good article but … when I connect the scanner gives me connection error. In my case, a Honda Civic EX 4 door 98, the connector is located on the side of the passenger’s right leg where is the ECU, you must remove the plastic cover that protects it and there is a green connector that is nothing more than a cover rubber covering 2 connectors (one 2-pin and one 3 pin), on the 3 pin plug is where you must connect the scanner. If anyone knows what’s more needs it to work please help me thank you

Did not work
OBD I GM factory vehicle harness is female, and the GM OBD I connector on this cable is female also. FAIL! Returning.

Mods required for 2021+ Tesla X/S!
While this cable states it works with 2015+ Model X/S, it does not (-1 star). The 2021+ refresh moved the vehicle CANbus pin locations on the diagnostic connector from 18 and 19 to 9 and 10, respectively (that is, 18->9, 19->10).This is easy enough to do with a small wire (stripped) from a typical grocery twist-tie, insert about 1/4″ from the connector side into the hole above where the mating plug would connect. This will push down the locking tab inside. If you got it in the right spot, gentle pull on the wire should easily pull out the back side. Pictures with pin numbers are here: teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/5821188/Once that is done, Scan My Tesla (SMT) works great! Props to the author of SMT to help me through this process.Other than that, the cable seems to be well made. My OBDLink MX+ fit well into the OBD side of this cable and worked perfectly. Most cables I found were $40+shipping, so at about $13, this was a bargain and I’m glad to have taken the risk, learned more about the connection, and the satisfaction to get it working!

The item does work, remember magic does not exist …
The item does work, remember magic does not exist! If your diagnostic tool does not read OBD then it won’t work of course what this does is convert your propietary Nissan 14 pin to the universal 16 pin connector that was implemented back in 1996 for all auto makers, just get a scanner with obd1 reading functions and it will work, remember your car’s ECU need to speak the same language as the scanner tool.

Not OBD1
Doesn’t allow communication with OBD1 vehicle. It fits the connector but OBD1 BMW is 16 pin not 20 pin. Based on description stating OBD OBDII, I took a chance that it would work on the older cars. 3 stars because I can’t say it doesn’t work – just doesn’t allow me to connect with my scan tools (Code scanner and VagCom) to OBD1 BMW. Didn’t expect that it would but for the price was worth a chance.

It really works perfectly and it’ll do the job. Work with most obd2 diagnostic tool. I used it with Carly and Delphi on a BMW Z3 from ‘98.
