    Great tool with great support
I’ve been a mechanic for about eighteen years. Moved to a new shop last year, and when we needed another scan tool, the guys all said go with the Elite Il Pro.I hadn’t used Autel before but decided to try it. Bought one myself so the shop could test it out. After two weeks, I’m really happy with it. Full scan runs fast, programming is smooth. Don’t have to waste time looking up 0EM part numbers or guessing which file fits. Data stream is clean too, easy to check multiple systems without switching back and forth. Feels way smoother than my old Snap-on or Star tools.Had one issue doing a DPF regen on an F-150. The function didn’t go through, so I reached out to support. The rep actually knew their stuff, asked if I stopped midway, how long the DPF light had been on, and about the truck’s driving habits. Didn’t expect a support person to talk like a tech. When you spend this kind of money and get that level of help, you know you bought the right tool. Interface makes sense, reports look good, and it runs quick. Been using it every day. Once you get used to it, hard to go back to anything else.

Hand down most used scanner in my shop
From a professional standpoint, this scan tool offers significant capabilities for diagnosing even the most challenging drivability issues. It stands out with its robust data logging features and its ability to highlight flagged points within the data. This is something I haven’t encountered in any other professional scan tool before. Maybe this is something Autel has done for a while, but this is the first I have heard of it.For its price level, I honestly suggest this as a great scan tool for any do it your selfer or as a professional diagnostician that may want a more affordable drivability, data logging scan tool.Check out my video demonstrating the ability to drop flag points in the data so it will help you pin point of a specific issue while reviewing your captured data.

    Fast boot, smooth OE programming
Fast boot, smooth OE programming.Boots in under 20 seconds, a lot quicker than the scanner it replaced. Menus move smoothly, connections are solid, and the screen is easy on the eyes when you’re watching live data for a while. Plenty of storage too, so it doesn’t slow down when jumping between functions. The dock actually gets used—sits on the tool cart and charges every time you set it down.Used the VCI with OE software on the Autel Elite II Pro for programming and coding. Ran GM GDS2 on a 2020 Chevy and used Chrysler wiTECH 2.0 for an immobilizer module job; both went through without any dropouts, which matters in a busy shop. ABS bleeding, resets, calibrations, and active tests all worked as expected, and the on-screen prompts make sense without getting in the way.

    Actually Works in the Shop
Did a lot of looking around before buying. Wasn’t going for cheap, just wanted something that actually works on the lift. Honestly, this thing surprised me. J2534 actually works, not just on paper. Hooked it up with wiTECH, ISTA, messed with SDD and FJDS. Programming and coding all ran fine. No weird drops, no guessing. Pulling OE info normally just makes me feel safer hitting start.DOIP and CAN FD matter more than people think. Some new GM cars won’t even talk without it. This connected right away. Tried a few Mercs too, S-Class W223, E-Class W214, SL R232. Everything came up and tests worked. Ran a scan and service reset on a 2026 Audi A3 yesterday, no issues. Not perfect. Pricey, not small, definitely not tossing it in a backpack. But I wanted dealer-level access, not a glove box scanner. Not for weekend DIY. If you actually diagnose cars in a shop every day, it makes sense to have

    Autel
I used to have the Autel MK808S scan tool a few years ago. It’s one of their smaller tools, and I could still check most modules and see the HV battery voltages and SOH.Great little tool, though it was missing some advanced features. However, the MK808S eventually wasn’t cutting it for me anymore, especially when I needed to do programming. If you don’t have a power supply or the exact right file and data for flashing, programming can get tricky. That’s why l upgraded to the Elite Il Pro. The programming feature on this tool is not only reliable but also easy to use.Now I use this intelligent scanner to scan codes, collect live data, reset modules, and run active tests with no problems at all. I’d definitely recommend this tool to any professional technician looking for a high-end, reliable scanner.

Reliable J2534 Programming That Gets the Job Done
I run a small repair shop, and the Elite Il Pro has ended up being a pretty solid addition to my setup. The J2534 programming works like it should stable, no random disconnects, and it gets along well with the OEM programs I use. The tablet is quick, the dual-band WiFi helps, and boot-up time is definitely faster than my old scanner. In day-to-day jobs it’s been reliable: Land Rover SDD pulled up diagrams without lag, GDS2 handled a Malibu reflash with no issues, and wiTech2 let me program a Chrysler immobilizer without any hassle. It’s not magic, but it’s steady, does what it’s supposed to do, and it’s already helped me move cars through the shop a little faster. For the price, I feel like it’s been worth it, and I’d say it’s a good pick if you’re running a shop and need a dependable tool.
