This powerful little saw cut my work time to less than half of what it used to take me with hand tools and older equipment.I ran it hard for quite a while and only had to fill the oil reservoir twice while using the 6” bar and chain. The saw handled everything I threw at it without hesitation. My personal habit is to empty the oil reservoir before storage to help prevent any oil residue from working its way into the electric motor — just a tip for anyone who likes to keep their tools in top shape.Overall, this saw worked GREAT — lightweight, efficient, and surprisingly powerful. Watch Out Redwoods, My New Mini Chainsaw is on the Prowl!
This mini 6&8 inch chainsaw came in a black hard plastic case that was wrapped in a black plastic trash? bag in a shipping box about 3-4 sizes bigger than the product with no bracing/cushioning material. With way too much room to smash around during shipping, I feared the worst in terms of shipping damage. I was wrong and pleasantly surprised by my initial quality impression when I tore open the black trash? bag and opened the plastic storage case. All of the pieces shown in pictures on the Amazon product listing page were there and undamaged. The mini chainsaw came with 6 and 8 inch chain guide bars and corresponding chains, 2 large capacity batteries (4 Ah), a battery charger, safety glasses, gloves, a small plastic bottle for chain oil (not included), and a user manual. See pics. I tested the chainsaw with each battery to ensure proper function and it worked well with both batteries. Although I haven’t yet used it to cut anything, it seemed to have plenty of power in comparison to another mini chainsaw I already had. There is a small rectangular display window on the top of the saw near the handle that shows the percentage charge level of the battery. The saw also has a bar chain oil tank with an integrated pump bulb in the cap. A nice feature that my other mini chainsaw lacks. The saw also has a chain tensioning and release knob and doesn’t require a tool for either.I charged each battery for 2+ hours using the provided charger. There is light indicator on the charging box that displays a solid red light during charging that is supposed to turn green when the battery is fully charged. The charging box got pretty warm during charging for both batteries but the indicator light never changed from red to green. Neither battery got significantly warm during charging although each registered a 100% charge when installed on the saw. Both powered the saw fine for the short period of time I tested each battery. Specifications printed on the charging box part of the charger indicate that it charges at 1.3 amps. According to Google Gemini (hmmh), a 4 Ah capacity battery might take well over 3 hours to fully charge when using a 1.3 amp charging source so I hope that I failed to achieve a fully charged green light during charging because I did not charge either battery for over 3 hours. I don’t know how accurate the saw’s charge level indicator is because it registered 1 of the batteries at 100% before any charging at all. Even though the product was in good condition, it did not look like it was ” fully charged, straight from the factory” the day before I received it. Anyway, time will tell whether there are any issues with the batteries or the charger. For now they seem to work well.In summary, my initial impression of this saw is that it is a good quality, well made product, with many features that my other mini chainsaw lacks (2 large capacity batteries, a bar chain oil tank, an 8 inch chain option, a tool-free chain tensioning/release knob, complimentary safety glasses/ gloves). A good value if durable and no battery issues. I’ll update the review if I experience any significant product issues after more substantial use.

I’ve only tested this out on kindling, got it for my husband. But it’s badass I know he’s gonna love it. It cut through firewood like nothing.

This is not a chainsaw, but a pruning or trimming saw.
Not what you will need if you are going to be cutting some serious wood. Would recommend a larger chainsaw. This one is fine for some trimming or cutting around 8″ or less. Only trouble I had with it was with the oil system. They use a bulb like the priming bulb on a lawnmower that leaks and does not move much oil. I used a oil can with a thumb operated pump and stopped to oil the chain when needed.

TIME TO CUT UP A DEAD WILD CHERRY TREE
I ordered this because a 40-year-old wild cherry tree in my front yard had one or two large limbs die and brake off seems like every six months. So, I had two large limbs on the ground, and my Husqvarna gas chainsaw had a rotted fuel line. So, I ordered this one and charged the batteries and put it to work. Large limbs, one my arm size and one the size of my leg. Took about an hour to cut them to fireplace size, load them on my truck and haul them to my friend’s place. Made short work of the limbs, now I am waiting for the next limb to fall and at the end the whole tree down to the trunk.
