Not complicated, fairly simple scanner, does the job.

Great price for an excellent base model code reader.
So far, I like everything about this code reader. The price was right. The screen is bright easy to see. The controls worked exactly as they should to navigate through menus. It connected promptly with my car and erased my misfire error code that had been cropping up as a result of a bad coil pack. Have only used on one vehicle at this point, but since I help a lot of people work on cars, I’m sure I’ll be testing it on more automobiles soon.

Easy to use first time.
I had a check engine light glowing and inspection time is this month. My mechanic wanted to charge me $120 to see what the error code was! I bought this code reader and used it this morning. It told me what the error code was and how to reset it. No check engine light any more. This scanner is easy to use. I would recommend it any time you have a check engine light. That way you know what the issue is, so maybe you can do the repair yourself, or at least know what the issue is before a mechanic perhaps tells you an expensive (false) story.

Decent scanner for the price
For a low cost scanner, it worked well. I tested it on several different vehicles and against the more expensive models which I own. It almost all cases it was able to communicate with the vehicle and return the correct error code. From there you just Google the error code with your vehicle to get an idea what the likely causes of the code are

For the price you’re paying for this thing, it has a ton of features! A must-have for anyone who works on their own cars, or anyone who owns their own car really as this is exactly what you need along side a tool kit for on the side of the road check engine light situations.Some of the many features include Check Engine Light code scanning and retrieval, live data and freeze framing this data to pinpoint issues, live testing of O2 Sensors & EVAP systems, and so much more. I had this out of the package and diagnosed my CEL as a faulty O2 sensor on my CRV within 5 minutes. Excellent tool and a must have for any side of the road car kit!

Very basic functionality
The list of car manufactures with known codes is very limited. It’s slow to load but works. It will provide a code but you will probably want internet search for details. It connects to every OBD2 I’ve used it on.4 years and still working.

WORKS GREAT FOR THE PRICE
for the price it paid for itself on the very first use. i maintain 2 cars and help out a friend with his problematic car as well. technicians charge the equivalent of US$40 to connect their scanner and read error codes. so i figured i would give it a shot and i was not disappointed. for one of the codes that i got an error, it did not find the description in the lookup, but it did show the code. a quick google search found the description. simple to use as well

Very good product. Easy to use I bought it for $ 22.99 I used it in my 2002 toyota sienna it helped me to de-encrypt a cylinder that had missfire I replaced it and now my car works fine again the most I like that it does not need to be connected to the computer and I can I could also delete the check engine light
