The dongle isn’t connecting, what should I do?
1. Ensure the Echo is plugged in and shows a steady blue light.
2. Confirm the vehicle ignition is ON.
3. If issues persist, unplug the Echo, fully close the app, turn off the vehicle, and try again.
*Note: Pair Bluetooth only within the app.
How can I check feature compatibility for my vehicle?

Can I use all features in third-party apps with the Ancel Echo?
When connected to third-party apps, the functionality is limited, some advanced features may not be supported.
How compatible is the Battery Registration function?
It only supports registering OEM batteries or third-party batteries that are an identical type and capacity to the original.
How do I check transmission temperature with the Ancel Echo?

Good scanner for Hyundai and Kia
I used this on Kia Niro 2017. It reads and clears codes from all the modules of the car, using the app. Boots fast with the app. I do not believe it will run water pump (for purging) nor will it prime the hydraulic clutches. But for reading and clearing most all codes, I think this works well.After using it for awhile, I was prompted on the app to upgrade, which I accepted. Not clear to me if I updated the app or dongle. Afterward, it no linger recognized the car as a Kia, I had to select Hyundai Ioniq for it to work with my car. That would be my main reservation. I haven’t investigated further, I just select ioniq (they are same cars underneath) and it works. Also, does not have much debug capability to debug parking assist nor blind spot detection systems.

Excellent Scanner for the Price Point
Connected to my iPhone easily. Simple to use and clear codes. Streams transmission fluid temperature for my Highlander and Porsche, which is vital for AT fluid changes. Unfortunately it doesn’t show AT temp for a 2016 Tundra.I bought scanner to reset fuel type and alcohol density for my Tundra but scanner doesn’t have that capability. I was hoping a very inexpensive scanner had that capability but it didn’t. I can’t expect a $79 scanner to have all the functions of a $500 scanner so I didn’t mark it down from 5 stars. For the price it is an excellent scanner and I will keep it in the glove box.

Reliably useful but ANCEL Echo app is immature
The unit works reliably and presents an ELM327 interface to 3rd party apps like Car Scanner. The Ancel Echo app works reliably and has OEM Add-Ons for Manufacturer-specific custom PIDs; however, it is unable to collect real time data streams from multiple modules (like Engine and Transmission) simultaneously and what is worse, it does not save the time-series data collected for export or exploration at a later time. If the app matures to add these features, it would great.

Buyer beware!
Customer service is a joke. The item worked on 2 cars but totally messed up another car. Now it has all kinds of camera issues with LKAS and ACC modules failing one day then working the next. Everything was fine before the scan. Returned but now have to figure out how to fix the car they messed up.

Pretty good for the price.
Works for my three toyotas(08 RAV, 15 sienna, 15 TC). Will not communicate with my 07 chevy colorado. Good information in the app, support is semi-helpful. Would be nice if it had more documentation. It took a lot of poking a guessing to find the transmission oil temperature. One other frustration, There is an option to change between imperial and metric measurements but even when set to standard the streaming data is metric. Overall it’s not a bad tool if you can catch it on sale just be cautious if you’re buying this for an older GM product. Hopefully Ancel will continue to support the product with updates to improve the app.

Finally, a quality, current Obd2 reader that is fast and easy to use PLUS doesn’t hit you with additional fees….. At least I have not ran into anything yet. Additionally, alphaobd works with this. This checks off every box for me. My search has come to an end. It’s worth your consideration.

Wonderful Product, Wonderful Results!!
This is a product every car owner should have. The more I use it the better I get. It’s easy to use. Honestly, it’s definitely more difficult understanding what everything means. I usually just look up everything to familiarize myself with a lot of new knowledge but well worth it. Good thing I got to get to know just my car, not everybody else’s. Just finding the recalls for my vehicle was worth it. I already scheduled an appointment with the dealership to get the recalls fixed. Strongly recommend this product.

Connection se perd 3 fois sur 10. Apart de ca, fonctionne très bien. Ca m’a pris 2-3 heures a me familliariser avec les options et fonctions, mais j’avoue que l’interface de l’appli est très efficace et intuitive. Regrette pas mon achat, mais je trouve le prix un peu cher pour ce que c’est!

Product feels like it is made from better quality materials. But I found it to be slower than its competitors, and those are also less expensive. This does not perform function testing, but is good to scan all systems for codes. It is easy to use and it is straight forward to understand what it can do. I do like that it came with a little storage case. Price is just too high and slower speed in comparison to others on market for what it does.
