The scanner was good quality, good price, easy to install on vehicle, design good, good features, tried to set it up on line and it said that I put in the wrong code so I don’t know if I can get updates frequently, readability was good.

ABS bleed works great
I bought the Autel Maxicheck Pro because I saw a video of a gentleman using it on a 2006 GMC light duty truck. According to the Autel ad, they said to contact them with questions before purchasing. I asked about my 2008 Avalanche and my 2007 Sky Redline to see if the ABS bleed would work on them. They told me that the protocols should be right for my vehicles, but couldn’t say definitely if it would work. I purchased it through Amazon and received it the next day. The following morning I hooked it to my Avalanche and low and behold, it worked perfectly. I’m not sure what the latest year vehicle it will work on, but I was happy with the outcome.

seems good enough!
first off– the seller got it to me in just a couple days–nice….overall, seems decent enough. the updating process is a bit hoe key as you have to register on their site and various other hoops. seemed unnecessary. Here is the reason for four stars—I downloaded the update software form their site–got it installed, and tried updating. about half way thru, my Malwarebytes went off–said it was a ransomeware program!! WAT?I uninstalled it, and got ahold of them and told them what happened. Autel sent instructions on how to install the software, instead of actually reading my issue. so I try again. this time when i downloaded it, it said “malicious website”.Sigh. In the end, i got it installed, and updated the device. Who knows…maybe malwarebytes was having a bad day/false positives…I did manage to get it to do what I mainly bought it for: bleeding ABS brakes. the device walks you thru the steps which is nice. But you need two people to do it (in my case) as one needed to keep foot on brake while other goofs with bleeder nutif i was to change anything on it i would make it touch screen. Also would design a new cable this thing is super thick and heavy–overly so.but it works pretty easily otherwise.a friend already wants to borrow it, and i see many uses for it in the future,

Great OBD scanner, plus much more, AND IT WILL BLEED MANY ABS UNITS
Update: Since buying this I have seen it available with coupons for $20 less than the $228 list price, and have seen it on lightning deals for $40 less. Grumble. I also recall that they were on a limited time deal last Christmas. I could have scammed the system and returned it and turned around and bought another, but it is worth the list price and it was my own fault for being impatient.since anti-lock braking systems have been around, there has been a problem when bleeding your brake lines of not being able to get any air that is trapped in the ABS actuator module out. Guys with the $1000 scanners could do it because they had two way communication with the cars’ computers. This one does it also! The procedure is to use this to first bleed the ABS module (you’ll hear it working). That will force any air into the brake lines. Then do a brake bleeding as you normally would. This scanner provides lots of live and historical data for LOTS of cars. Updates are free. You can printout your results if needed.NOTE: if you don’t have an American car, use the questions section to find out if it has the ABS module bleeder function for your car.ALSO: the company seems to have made a mistake with one of its software updates, and some people get units that don’t have the ABS module bleeder function. To fix that, go to the company’s website and just update to the newest version of software and you’ll be good to go.At about $230 this is an expensive OBD and data reader, but it is worth it for the brake bleed function. I am kind of surprised that they don’t feature this function in bold letters because that is the one function tt hat makes it stand out among scanners and makes it worth the money. Suddenly you have good firm brakes again, and you didn’t have to pay a mechanic to finish the brake job you just did!It comes in a nicely made blow molded case. The instructions book covers a lot and is readable. For DIYers, this has every function you’ll ever need or be able to use and understand. There is a great youtube video showing how the bleeding works. The guy has an affiliate link, so use that to give him a taste for having made it known to the world that this scanner has this great feature. For some reason the manufacturer hasn’t caught on to the fact that it is the only feature that makes it worth what they are charging.I recommend this without reservation.

Works great doing the ABS auto-bleed!
I ordered this on Friday when I realized I couldn’t completely bleed the brakes on my 2005 Cadillac Escalade EXT after replacing the ABS controller. I looked at several scan tools, all said they did the auto-bleed, and most had good reviews, but virtually ALL the bad reviews were about the auto-bleed function not working. THIS scan tool had all GOOD reviews specifically about how the auto-bleed function worked very well. SO I ordered it, and it arrived the next day! And it worked flawlessly! I’m back on the road! The dealer wanted $2780 to replace the controller and bleed the brakes. With the price of this scan tool and the junkyard controller I got, I’m out $340. WINNING!

This thing is a real gem
I bought this hoping it worked on my 2002 Saturn SC2. Sure enough, it does the automated bleed procedure and it follows the steps in the Saturn factory service manual to the letter. For my 2002, I had to tell it, it was a 2001 SC2 but it still worked perfectly. Someone really did their homework when they wrote this software. And for the price? It just paid for itself in one use. No more excessive brake pedal travel and the brakes work perfectly.
