Great product value and functionality
I had spent a few days looking for an OBD2 scanner that includes ABS and SRS functions and came across the Autel AL619. Upon receiving I didn’t waste any time and plugged it right into my vehicle and I couldn’t be happier. The construction feels extremely sturdy and the user friendliness is a huge plus – Pretty much a plug and play device. I love the live monitoring function which allows me to see my vehicle details in real time. The included memory card is also a huge benefit and saves you a few more dollars on top. I wanted this device mainly for the SRS function and it operates in the same manner as the OBD2 scan so I received immediate results on my indicator light and was able to clear it promptly. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants an affordable device with all the functions of a more expensive unit. Great buy – no questions.

Works well on Honda, Subaru, and Chevy
Unit works on 2006 Honda, 2006 Subaru and 2008 Silverado. Only reason for four stars is the company wants access to your computer to update software. So only use sacrificial computers (Sandboxed) for doing the update. It does read SRS codes well. Have not tried the ABS modes yet.

Solid Scanner
Since it was going to be about $200 for Toyota to tell me why my airbag light was on (and wouldn’t go off), I just decided to purchase this and see if it could save me a trip and some $. And it did. There is an SRS brain module + multiple sensors, plugs, etc and the AL619 pointed me right to where the issue was…LRear passenger seatbelt. Ended up taking off the back door panel, unplugged the wire to the belt pre-tensioner and reinstalled, cleared the codes with the scanner and I haven’t seen the dash light since.This also reads/deletes ABS braking system issues. I wish I’d had this when the ABS light came on in my other car bc even though I fixed the issue, I had to pay Toyota $50 to clear the codes and turn the dash light off.This thing is a keeper.

I bought the AL619 specifically to diagnose a problem with the Supplemental Restraint System of my 2002 Toyota Avalon. The sales experience with Autel Direct was superb (I’ve given them a 5-star rating separately). I found the device easy to use, with well-written instructions. It took me just a few minutes to diagnose my problem (an airbag sensor) and to clear the trouble code. Now, to drive the car around a bit and see if the problem signal returns! Come what may, this device protected me from a repair shop being able to assert that I needed to replace an airbag. A sensor replacement is a heck of a lot cheaper! Having this also will enable me to avoid $100-a -pop charges for repair shop diagnoses, every time a check engine light comes on.

Kinda clunky, but works perfectly fine for the price and jobs it’s advertised to do. Don’t expect Snap On, or Top Don for the price. Overall a pretty solid unit.

WILL NOT READ SRS CODES
Recently an airbag warning light came on in my 2006 Crown Victoria. I purchased this product for the specific purpose of reading the diagnostic trouble code or codes and figuring out where the problem was. I set the unit to the ABS/SRS mode. I set it to American cars, then to Ford. It correctly detected the vehicle info. When I tested ABS it functioned as it should. When I test SRS all I get is the message that “The tester is not connected to the control module”. No matter how many times I turned the ignition on and off I got the same message. No matter how many times I hit escape and retested I got the same message. I have a spare computer for the vehicle. I installed it but I got the exact same results. This product functions normally in all other modes but for my purpose of testing and reading diagnostic trouble codes in my SRS system it was a complete waste of $100.
