A GREAT SCAN TOOL WITH EXPANDABLE FEATURES
This scan tool raises the bar for its ability to grow with your diagnostic needs. Not only is it competitively priced, if you need more capability in the future, you can add more advanced reset functions and vehicle specific functions for $169 for a three year license on those features. At the current price of $130 for the tool itself, you can have a very capable scan tool for around $300, which is considerably less than you would pay for a standalone tool with those specs.In addition, you can pay $199 for a lifetime unlock of the J2534 passthrough function, which supports at least 17 major manufacturers. I spent a good hour comparing various scan tools on Amazon and didn’t find anything that checked all these boxes at a comparable price.As far as actual operation, I installed the VDIAGTOOL app on an inexpensive Android tablet, set up the device, downloaded the specific vehicle packages that I needed, and went to work. As you can see in my video, the communication speed between the tool and car computer is quite fast. When I’m scanning a car, I’m usually sitting in the driver’s seat, so I didn’t think to test how far the Bluetooth connection works, but it’s likely going to be dependent on the phone or tablet you’re using.The automatic scan function works as expected and generates a list of the modules scanned and any codes that were found. You can tap on each code which will then open a browser window to give you more information about the specific code. The information is organized in a clean, readable format and can be saved on your device as well as emailed in PDF format. I’ve included examples of the reports as they appear on the app screen and excerpts of the emailed PDF. You also have the option of viewing live data as numerical values or a moving chart.One feature that I find extremely valuable is the ability to read OBD-II Mode 6 data. This shows the results of pass/fail tests and actual values for various components of the emission system and can alert you to a problem before it progresses far enough to trigger a check engine light or causes your vehicle to fail an emissions test.You can also run an automated smog check to see if your car will pass an emissions test.Another useful tool is the MIL Status test. This tells you how many minutes of run time have elapsed since the last emission codes were cleared as well as the distance driven since that event. If you’re checking out a car before buying it, this will alert you if any codes were recently cleared and the vehicle hasn’t been operated long enough to set the code again.The app also gives you access to technical bulletins and recalls for your specific car.I highly recommend this tool to anyone who owns a vehicle. Even if you don’t work on it yourself, it will help to inform you of any problems and give you the information to keep from being cheated by a dishonest repair shop. If you can use a smartphone or tablet, you can put this scan tool to good use.I am also impressed by the product and technical support from VDIAGTOOL. My emails were answered promptly and my questions answered in a professional manner.

ONE OF THE MOST USEFUL DIAGNOSTIC’S TOOLS REGARDLESS OF SKILL LEVEL
First off, I’m pretty impressed with the VDIAGTOOL D200 OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner. You have the power of a diagnostic tablet without having to lug one around. I use a similar one from Mopar everyday and I love the concept of less is more. For customer’s vehicles that aren’t Stellantis brand this fills the gap nicely.Set up was simple simply plug it in to the port,create an account and your good to go. It has tons of features that are very helpful whether you are a seasoned technician or an everyday consumer looking to save a few bucks from the shop.A few features I found useful are as follows:- live data which is extremely useful when trying to pinpoint a concern in live time ( my personal favorite part of any diagnostic tool.- Scan feature which will scan your entire vehicle and show you any DTC’s (Codes) some that are even hidden when using my other scan tools.-links next to the codes that will give you a better idea of why the codes are set.- Several vehicle reset and learning features that aren’t available with certain tiers of other brands.- Power similar to those of the big brands do at a fraction of the price ( One of the biggest upsides for someone advanced or new to Automotive Repair looking to professionally repair while saving money on cost as well)- live customer serviceOverall, I am completely satisfied with this device. It gives me the power and assistance to properly diagnose a vehicle in a timely manner regardless of Brand of vehicles. I find the VDIAGTOOL D200 will be useful for anyone new to the automotive repair industry, or a seasoned veteran looking to replace or add to their arsenal. It is packed full of features you would have to spend elsewhere. At the price point it may even pay for it self the first time used considering it cost $200/hr at the shop I’m at for an hr of diag alone.

Excellent Pocket OBD2 Scanner
I will be very honest, this tool has more capabilities than what any mechanic or technician will use during normal day to day scvehicle anning.First, I love it includes a storage mini case, inside you have the USB C and adapter but so far I don’t know for what or when I’m going to use them. The setup was very easy, you have to download and install all the updates to be able to use it.The special functions is my favorite part to use, here you can do a lot of normal routine resets and also some setup like automatic window reset, on the diagnostic section I was able to make recordings of engine data and also play them back later without having the vehicle connected to the VCI.This tool has great capabilities for this price, also the “Mall” inside the app you can buy to get even more functionality including some module programming abilities but I have not get those at the moment.The output test for each module is very nice, I was able to test door locks without touching the lock and unlock buttons, also the park release solenoid activation without having to press the brake pedal, this little scanner can do a lot.I’m very happy with it and looking to see what else I find during later uses, really recommend it to have inside you car for any emergencies.

I’ve been using this tool for about 2 weeks, I’m a mobile mechanic and wanted an additional tool which is smaller and easier to setup than my larger tablet-based scan tool and that I didn’t need to remember to charge, as the D200 uses the cars obd2 power supply and your phones battery and has free lifetime updates it seemed perfect.The tool was very easy to set up I downloaded the app registered an account used the code in the box to verify the tool to my account and it connected straight away to my phone. The app then updated itself with all the latest information relating to cars and models which took about 10 minutes, regular updates after the tool is set up and in use take about 1 to 5 minuets depending how often you use the tool.I intended to use the tool just to reset service & oil intervals, read DTC diagnostic codes and servicing electronic parking brakes which this tool is more than capable of however I wasn’t expecting it to be so user-friendly and capable.Rather than using my larger tablet-based tool I find my self using the D200 for almost everything, inc. checking live data for oxygen sensors, parking sensors, wheel speed sensors MAP sensors, brake switches, throttle body’s etcI’ve even coded a set of injectors and performed adaptation resets on a throttle body and TPMS system, the bidirectional control is also really useful I’ve only used it a couple of times to check an ABS pump and EGR valve but it worked faultlessly.To summarise the tool has almost everything my larger tablet tool has at a fraction of the cost in an easy-to-use format on your phone.After 2 weeks daily use I have no issues recommending this tool to someone in the motor trade or someone looking to maintain there own car at home.
